Yesterday took a road trip to Wisconsin looking for birds with the girlfriend. All of a sudden to my left through a small opening in the trees I saw 2 turkeys and stopped as fast as I could without making any noise. Looking in my rear view mirror I backed up keeping an eye behind me so no one would run into me coming over the hill. I told the girlfriend there were 2 turkeys to the left and let me know when she could see them. Finally she said there they are I see them so I stopped and snapped off 2 shots out the window.

They were a ways off, I had the 300mm with a 1.4tc picture is uncropped. Then I realized they weren't moving and finally saw the Double Bull pop up blind on the edge of the woods. The irony hit me and I got out of there as fast as I could. I just shot a decoy turkey while sitting in my truck. On the way back through only one was still standing the wind had blown the other one over and I told the girlfriend hey look one of the decoys flew off.

It is web content management, and most IT people will tell you that web coding isn't really coding... HL7 feeds and mainframe ASCII text COLD feeds, sure that is coding but not web content. Had this very conversation with a DBA at work last week, she said don't even get her started on web designers saying they are coders. Just how it is.

When HTML 1.0 first came out IT was expected to do presentation layer and logic on web pages including infrastructure. Didn't take long before most everyone realized that graphic artist and those that play with Adobe (Pagemaker and Photoshop) would be better suited for the task and WYSIWYG editors took over from notepad. And I certainly had no problems with that, I would rather architect highly available systems and disaster recover design and planning than play with graphic arts. But most content design people don't understand databases, security, clustering, or servers. They will do things like try to stick images inside a database as a BLOB (Binary Large Object) :frusty: so the rest of the infrastructure team usually is responsible for the backend and overall design.

It also shows in my preference for photography I believe. I subscribe more to the National Geographic standards of minimal PP and nature as it is instead of highly PS and modified content. Although I will admit that while I normally think in terms of the bit is either on or off I don't mind playing with turning it sideways once in awhile. And appreciate the work of others that do so regularly.

What camera straps are most of yall using? I got a shoulder sling by Case Logic for under $15. I like this style better than the neck strap but curious if yall had experience with other styles?

I run a canon E1 and two E2's on my 50 and 7. I have never liked neck straps unless I wrap them around my arm, and I want a nice sling like a rapid or sniper, but too poor at the moment.

I love pictures of welding almost as much as I love welding!

Thanks, I just printed it 20x30 for my "manipulation" assignment for my photo class - it's made from 4 images I found on google - not at all straight. The B&W looks good, how did you get the graininess in the sky? did you add a noise layer in PS?
