    Choosing an Eye Doctor
    Share AA
Are street signs -- or the newspaper -- looking a little fuzzy these days? It's probably time to see an eye doctor.

If you've never been before, choosing an eye doctor can be tricky. There are several kinds of eye care experts with lots of different specialties. To help guide you, here are some things to consider when choosing an eye doctor.

    Finding an Eye Doctor
If you've never seen an eye doctor, how do you find one? Start with:

Recommendations from your doctor (or pediatrician). Your doctor will have the names of eye doctors in the area. He or she may have a sense of who would be a good fit for you or your young children.
Recommendations from family, friends, and coworkers. Think of everyone you know who wears glasses -- they all have eye doctors. Ask them.
Professional organizations. The web sites of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Optometric Association both offer ways to find local eye doctors.
    :D

My vision is 20/20. I could see perfectly at night with the zXe's I had before this.

I picked my 16 year old son up from work tonight and told him I was testing some new lights. He asked me if they were on.

Heads up to anybody in Canada thinking of ordering from this company. They toss in an extra 60$ shipping/duty for you to pay at the door without telling you in advance. That's unheard of for a product of this value.

I would have sent the whole thing back and asked for a refund but unfortunately was using my moms address and she signed and paid for it thinking I would be upset if she didn't. Way to ruin the experience. Went from wanting to come home and toss them in to wanting to smash this box.

    Hey guys.

First I want to appologize as this item was drop shipped from the main supplier. I had no idea that there was going to be a steep additional charge for customs. This was my bad as I did not ask if they were going to push customs charges onto the customer. They told me that they ship worldwide direct.

In my opinion, you should have waited until I could have responded to you privately to see what we could have worked out. I got home from work at 1230 am wed morning and saw your email. I was going to respond that way first and thought I should check the forum. Glad I did. Like I said, I had no idea.

I had one other order go to Canada that came to me first and I had to reship international. He has not recieved it yet but I am interested on what the charges will be there. That was a $40 additional shippment out of pocket. I am not trying to make any excuse. You are the second person I have shipped to out of country. I will contact you privately to try and work something out. Even a PM on here first would have been nice.

I am sorry that you and your mom got stuck with the bill.

    Henry

On another note, the lights came out great. The stock rubber covers are a pita to install on the bulbs. I recomend some dieelectric grease to ease install. Bright enough IMO without being a road hazard to other drivers. No issues with rf interferences as long as the wires aren't touching the metals.

Quick Video I made going to work this morning. Sorry for quality GoPro still isn't great at night recording. But you can see the lights are quite bright and actually throw farther than the video can show.

    This is low beam only.

I need to get a better camera but I actually stopped at a Football field tonight on my way home. I was parked 15 yards behind goal post and had visible light out to and past the 50 yeard line by eye. I also walked the football field to the 50 yard line and could still see light thrown on the ground. So roughly you are looking at 75 yards minimum light throw with the naked eye. I tried taking pics but cell phone cameras are not that good yet. I will make some signs and stake them out and we will run a test maybe this weekend.

Henry from wired installations refunded the 40$ brokerage fees to make the deal right.

It's just a matter of figuring out proper shipping methods, which I'm shur he will do. Ups is a scam obviously

Overall for the lights you get a much better flood of light in front of you and to the side. Possibly at a sacrifice of some distance but hard to tell since I put both lights in at once with no testing process. I like the white light a lot better, truck looks better and I see better. Time will tell if they're completely useless in the fog. But I can predict they will be pro in the pitch black Forest up a logging road.

I never expected spotlights so I'm happy. Now I need a 30"light bar in my lower valance for some distance light and Ill be real happy. And the light bar will match my headlights perfectly :)

This is kinda where I'm at, if I'm going to keep these.

The light in front of the truck is great, but distance light is unacceptable for barreling down country roads at night at 65MPH.

A light bar would solve that problem, but it's more money that I'd rather not spend.

Got mine today!! Ready for night fall. I had to take out the battery and the washer fluid resistor to install.. That rubber backing to keep moisture out is a pain in the ass! But they are legit looking lights. Quality looks amazing!
