I want my truck set up soon so bad so I can do trips like that. Once I my truck can handle it I'll probably try to set up some group meets too if people will actually show up! SoCal tacos has a monthly one...

lol it's not about the gear, its about spending time outside for me. It's just nice to be away from stuff for a weekend.

 

I wish I could do that. I have zero time. I have to sacrifice one of my weekly days off for school work and schedule atleast 3 weeks ahead to do anything now

 

I agree. It's nice to just get out and drive thru. But with some great gear and staying overnite or even 2 nites, its almost like a vacation.
And you might only see a handful of people within 72 hrs.

 

dont get me wrong, i LOVE LOVE LOVE my RTT, it makes camping feel like a vacation like you said.

Just dont center camping around your gear was my point, just beer,tacomas,peeps, and a good time.

 

What trails? I'd be interested if my 2wd could handle it.

So many peeps get wrapped up in the idea that if you're 2wd you're useless. I push the hell out of mine and if you're a halfway decent driver you can keep up for the most part. We should schedule a meet fellas.

 

i did, i spoke with him days before he posted that, he's in TX and with shipping, I'm only 100-150$ away from just buying one new so I'm still looking.

 

I'd like to have one too but I don't really think there worth what you have to pay for them. I'd much rather have a SOS or demello but I still look at them and drool lol.

it doesn't have to, they go for 1000$ all day long and for over 30years people have been putting them on their rigs and i'll prob end up doing the same. Some boss ass TW members on here has them.

 

Yeah don't get me wrong there awesome my dad's old land cruiser had one and there pretty sick but not exactly worth the money when I can get something thicker and suited to my need cheaper

 

That's a nice feature to have but arbs just aren't for me. I'd get one if I found a deal on it but that's about it
