Just little things, both diffs and transfer case oils, spark plugs, need to clay bar my truck bad(how hard is that?), clean engine bay real good, and possibly wire wheel parts of frame and paint with this paint that goes over rusty stuff and helps the metal

So just a lot of fluids and regular maintenance. I've never used a clay bar it rains enough here I can always judge when it needs waxed. I tend to do that every other month or so (stress thing for me haha). How bad is the rust you have on your frame? Just surface I assume.

Just surface mostly, but it's ugly, so I want to do something with it

No he's not, he's second gen. I couldn't have done it without the truetrac, I lifted a tire on the way up and had to lock it up. And which jeep, your gonna have to specify lol

Yeah I understand that. Do second gens just get surface rust on the frame?
Are you gonna install it or a shop?

No there's second gens getting new frames like the first gens. There's a few threads. Matt, go to a dealer and have them inspect it. Start a report with toyota, and see what the dealer says. There's a few threads on here, looks like toyota is taking care of their customers, and a recall might be issued soon. I might look at installing it, it's not hard. The hardest part about it is taking my grill off haha

Didn't know they were. They do tend to take car of the owners.

If the hardest part is taking the grille off then it should be simple. The grille is just a few clips

Yeah but I'll have to cut my LED wires, they're strung through the grill. And I might even have to take the lights off. Other then that it's just the lower skid plate, mount the cooler in front of the grill, and then take the line coming out of the stock cooler off, put a new line on that to the cooler, then run the outlet from the cooler to the old line running back to the trans

Nice and yeah I guess I could start a case, I wonder how to get an inspection though. For your wires, just put quick connectors ( 14-16gauge spade) on the wires so you can remove your grill anytime

If you've got rust starting just tell the dealer you'd like it inspected, and if it's bad they'll start a case with toyota. And if they're a good dealer you shouldn't have to pay for it
