Havent really been in a forum since facebook got kicking but I thought Id try this out. Just got a new 2014 4x4 TRD OFF ROAD and am happy with it so far. Had it two weeks and have 5k miles on it of last night. My previous two vehicles were a Suzuki Grand Vitara and a Jeep Compass. Decided to stop chasing the extra 3 mpg and get something I wouldnt break. Hope I found the right truck! Originally from SoCal and have lived in Central Florida for two years. Nice to make ya'lls acquaintance.

Not sure what makes anyone think I have a saving account left after getting a brand new truck. :) I would be interested in any mods that can improve gas mileage but reading over some post I see thats not really going to happen. Im getting 18 combined. There are a lot of off road mods Id love to add but I cant afford to lose even a mile per gallon. I put 5k miles on the beast in less than a month, and don't expect to be driving any less in the future

If you get some good tires you'll be able to go more places then you need with an TRD OR. I went with bigger more aggressive tires and my mpg is the same

I have Goodyear Wrangler Authority All terrains. They're a Walmart exclusive tire, and I love them. There's a guy one here with a review and he loves them too. They're cheap, and run great offroad. Basically they're walmart's version of the Goodyear Duratrac. I get about 16.5-17.5 mpg, which was the same I got before

They only come in stock sizes. If your looking for bigger you'll have to go with the Duratracs. Also, the tires are decent, but watch the Wal-Mart techs. I had to go back to get a rebalance cause they did a terrible job
