So we are still a go for this trip? I'm interested in Bunce mainly.

    Also, meeting place and time?

Yes we are... right now it's the Chamrock Gas station as you enter Lyons. It's got very limited parking area so looking for another location possibly... but I'll keep an eye on here and post up/pm everyone if we change it.

    time undecided as of yet.

If there is a big group from noco it may be faster to take 34 and meet them at the trailhead.

I am excited! A trail a stock 4runner can do! Lol

Hey guys here is the official meet up time and place.

    When - Sunday 4/27/14 @ 11:30/12:00
Where - Staging at the Diamond Shamrock Gas station (4206 Ute Hwy. Lyons, CO 80503)
Planned trails - Iron Clads and Miller Rock(Open for additional suggestions however we're limited by seasonal gates)

The Gas station has limited parking so if you get there first...ish. Fill up as needed and then stage across the street making sure you leave enough room for other vehicles.

For those of you that know the area well enough and would rather meet at the base of Iron Clads let me or Branodn(Ebbs15) know and we can meet up there.

REMEMBER THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE SO IF YOU HAVE WALKIE TALKIES OR SIMILIAR BRING THEM. LEAD AND REAR VIC WILL HAVE COMMUNICATION WITH ONE ANOTHER VIA WALKIE TALKIE.

That works, I'm sure there will be others with a CB so if we can get a good handful of vics with comm we'll be good.

This and with snow I don't know how far a stock rig is going to go with the snow. Even bunce school on the Allen's park side could be a chore unless you stay on the main trail. Even then you won't make it to camp dick unless a lot of snow melted.

Should be good on the Main trail. But still a few miles in I saw a buggy on 40's turn around about a month ago. I was on my atv when I passed him, I wheeled the runner a little and tried the loop off the west side and had to back out. There was a 3-5 foot of snow in the loop.

Talked to some jeepers that said bunce was clear the entire way.

I may just run Bunce and then peace out when you guys hit the harder stuff. Or bring snow shoes and go to the plane wreck.

Well there ya go. That's amazing all the snow is gone it was really deep when I was up there. If my wife is off I might come up and burn around on the atv. Did they say if the trail
Is open at camp dick yet?

They said the gates were all open. They said they don't pay attention to trail names they just wheel, so we could be talking about different trails. I think they ran it though. They are going to be at Fort Collins 4x4 Friday at 6pm for a club meeting if you want to talk to them

On Ironclads? (never run Bunce School) yeah we ran it about 3 weeks ago, two jeeps on 40's had done the loop... but we couldn't make it much further than about 100 yards past the split. I know there was snow the next weekend... but it's been decently warm since... so hope'n it's better... but we'll see.

    ok no worries.

I don't care enough lol. I can find out next time I go. It does not take long for me to get to the gate on an atv.
