I am 4th generation Eastern Oregon habitant. I kill mosquitoes to pay my bills and hopefully to further mod my 2013 TRD sport 4X4, that I bought last summer.

    Looking to:

Satoshi grill by myself (is partsgeek the best price on a new grill?)

Retrofit lights (haven't decided on whats best, but id prefer blackout with angel eyes

Lift (still at odds with everything written on tw, as to whats the best for a daily driver. I want a 3 inch lift... not a whole lot of offroading, so id like to keep the ride quality)

Until I can get more dolla dolla bills, that's all I got for now. Im sure i'll tinker some more though

I bought my grill insert from Grillcraft. It wasn't that hard to install. My OME 3" lift met my needs. I don't offroad a lot and the the ride quality didn't change much, a little stiffer but hardly noticeable.

I actually did check it out before I posted this. I was wondering if I wanted to make the jump on the satoshi for a few months after seeing homers. I saw yours and said, that doesn't look too terribly involved, plus I loved how you went about getting the angles right with the cardboard, as I was previously wondering how I was going to do that with any amount of accuracy or if id just have to eyeball it. Plan on ordering a grill from partsgeek this week. I wish I could just get the plastic non painted portion that i'll actually be working on.

question for you geekhouse. You have stock wheels... what were you able to fit onto them tire-wise. I have my TRD sport rims blacked out with dip (until I can hit up my bosses uncle down in southern Oregon to powder coat) Just wondering what I can fit as far as width. Im assuming theyd be the same size but I could be mistaken...

a secondary question to that, what exactly did you get when you same OME? Just the bare minimum or what?

Thanks for the kind words

I still have the stock rugged trails (fails). Hoping for 285/75/16 Duratracs which are 32.8" tall and 11.22 inches wide on the stock OR rims.

Here is a list of what I have (see build thread):

    Front:
    OME 885 Coils
    Nitro Charger Sport Shocks
    LR UCAs
Top Plate Spacer (necessary for full 3")

    Rear:
    OME Nitrocharger Sport Rear Shocks
Dakar leaf pack with D29XL add-a-leaf
    CB Drop Kit

Nice. I wish I knew someone around with a lift. My boss used to be able to go down to commercial tire and use their lifts to work on his truck, but that's no longer an option. Dicks... I probably cant afford the dakars, but everything else seems doable.

I have the 17" rims. so would the equivalent be 285/70/17s?
