    Thanks man

Its loctite roof and flashing sealer... I figure if its made to stick to, and last on a roof it will do fine on my truck.

I was going to take my Tacoma out to Harlan Ky, the other weekend, but before I could leave my altornator cut my power steering hose. After spending a few hours trying different fitting and hose clamps I gave up and ordered a new line. In the process I broke both of my power steering vacuum valves. I found that some Lexus car had a metal version... So now my truck does too... I have since belt and rerouted the power steering line so that it does not cross between the engine and the radiator. It looks much better and should be safe.

Pinion angle is 10* up with the perches at 0*. From center pin to center pin its 39.5"s on center and from the out side of the backing plate flange to the center of the pin is 7 1/8".

This thing is massive compared to the 8.4. Imagine what the new Tundra axle would look like....

    Gotcha.
Follow up question. Are you using the factory CV driveshaft? Only reason I ask is it made a world of difference on my truck to set the pinon 2 degrees down from the straitline to the carrier bearing. No more axle wrap or vibrations.

Yes I'm still running the factory driveshaft. One of my tires is some 15oz out of balance so I probably won't even feel the driveshaft vibs. I will keep thus in mind though as I plan to get that tire taken care of.

I assume you are talked ng about the motorcycle. I stopped off at a buddies house who is a better welder than I. That was his dads bike. I was too busy eyeing down the old school JD to it right.

I started a new job a few weeks back so time has been a bit limited.

I did manage to get the 4.10 electronic ADD front diff swapped out. It turned out to be a bit of a pain. The engine and trans sits low enough to block the biff from coming up high enough to get the rear mount out of the cross member. After some thinking I finally got the diff out. I had to drop the steering wrack out so I could remove the two bolts that hold the diff to the rear mount. If you have never dropped a diff from a Tacoma, this is all jiberish to you. Here is a picture. Not the bolt on the left side and how close it sits to the x member. Its the bolt pointing down... It was a pita....

I also swapped out my two spoke steering wheel for a 4 spoke version. No pics yet though.

Been a few months since my last update. The engine is running great. Transmission is holding up great, the FJ80 axle, E-locker, and rear disc brakes are AWESOME.

The clutch I went with hates life and is showing signs of quitting early. So I eased off the 1-2 Shifts and generally drive "more responsible" now (Boring).

    In other news,

I have some plans to add in some more cool Toyota parts as my free time and extra money allows. This truck really is going to have what I feel are the best of the late 90s and early 00 Toyota parts. Hint: Multi Mode

    Stay tuned.
