Eh, I will have some crap going on anyway. If it is in August, I will most likely be away from internet for half of it which is OK with me.

 

Nope. We bumped it up a few weeks. Something about those A/C tent humpers being afraid of our rounds going over their heads. So we moved it into July so that we are out there by ourselves and can do our own thing.

and i only carved them up because my dumb ass didnt pound out the metal sleeve

 

so whatd you do?

 

I took a hack saw and cut chunks out of the round bushing so i could pound them in lol

it worked

and i went to wyoming

 

oh....fuck lol that sounds like a pain in the dick

I just pushed the sleeve out with a screwdriver and a rubber mallet when i put my AP shackles on

 

I used a punch to get the sleeve out of my pushing. Then a pair of vice grips and some twisting motion to get them out. Earthquaking the whole truck doing this made Konsta's welds turn out great haha

 

I feel like I just had good luck swapping my shackles

I threw them on, drove around a little, flexed it out
realized my exhaust was rubbing

took them off

all in the same day, and it was super easy to do...


but apparently shackle swaps are a pain in the ass?

I'm scared to swap mine to wheelers greasables when I get home now haha

 

season finale of Xoverland was pretty good. That mackenzie trail looks fun!

 

Nah. Super easy. Jack up the truck. Put it on stands. Put a jack under the axle. Under the bolts..lower axle...

Haven't seen a single episode since the second one.

 

Most of the episodes have been pretty boring but the finale was good.

 

20 minute commercials. Very disappointed.

 

it was only a pain in the ass because i was dumb and didnt know about the sleeve. this was all the night before i left for wyoming too. So I was starting to panic as I looked at a shredded pile of bushing and I was un able to get the new ones in.

The chevy bushings were pretty smooth! Just drilled out the rubber, cut a gash in the sleeve so it could bent, and pounded around it with a screw driver until it popped out. maybe 5ish minutes an eye?

LOL! He loves when you shake the whole truck when hes trying to weld. I forget if I was pulling the diff out or the axle shafts as hes welding the thin tub plate in.

wait why did you take them off when you realized they were hitting the exhaust? just cut the exhaust off.

and i dont think they are bad at all, as long as you make sure everything fits right. Especially not factory ones.

I need to catch up on them just for the sake of seeing them. ill get to the last one here soon

 

my safety guy said he wouldn't pass the truck if I cut it after the axle

so I had to wait to relocate it

and now that its relocated, I kinda don't want an extra 1.5" on top of the 4.5" expos

so im gonna grab a set of oem length greasable ones from wheelers
