put a empty mag in the magwell (seated) and move the bolt back and forth, now drop the mag and run it back and forth, is there a massive difference in how it feels?

Sounds like you have a mag problem.

When you fire it does the bolt cycle and chamber a new round Or does it lock back?

Beaver tail is super easy to do at home. Take your time with a file and the jigs on brownells are pretty damn good. I did mine.image.jpg

The bolt may not fully seat if you're manually charging rounds from the magazine and easing the charging handle closed. This May or may not be related to your issue overall. Also, you don't want to be dropping a round into the chamber and letting the bolt fly home, at least not indoors. The firing pin on an AR is free-floating.

Have you shot any Wolf or other steel case ammo through it? Taking a bronze chamber brush to it might get something out that's caked/melted to the chamber.

    A full-size 1911 is ALWAYS appropriate! ;)

I will say though, I like those little DB9s. Diamondback's AR though is a complete piece of junk imho.

It's not a bad little firearm. Not amazing or extraordinary in any way but not bad.

I can't always hide a 1911 (aka shorts and light t-shirt in the summer), not that I don't open carry as well, I just want something I can toss in a pocket

And the diamondback ARs that I have seen and shot were pretty nice actually

Smallest/lightest 9mm on the market right now I believe

Te recoil is a little vicious if you aren't used to small guns but other than that I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it

My wife takes mine time from time in a belly band when we're walking the dogs around the neighborhood. If she can handle the recoil surely you can. ;) That being said the trigger is just... meh. There's a fair bit of take-up with a less-than-smooth travel and clean but not crisp break. Like I said, it's not extraordinary but for the purposes intended it fits the bill. I just wish Glock would make the micro-single stack 9mm we've all been craving for like 8 years now.

Ive been shooting heavy loaded .45 colt and and 1911s just a drastically different type of recoil, It isn't any worse than the .45 acp double tap I've shot. Just a much more snappy recoil than in used to, then again I usually buy guns to have fun shooting so the recoil isn't as bad lol

anybody have any thoughts on remington 887? from what i got off their website, it is basically an 870, but with special coatings on it to keep it from rusting, and it is designed to be abused much worse than the 870.

I've seen the 870 take more abuse than anyone would do on purpose and keep on truckin'. I see zero need for under-coatings other than to increase their profit margins. Buy an 870.

That and you live in the PNW. Get an 870 Police. Clean it. Oil it. Shoot it. Repeat until you draw your last breath or pass it on to your son.
