Thanks, exactly what I was looking for. Guess I will be doing this within the next month.

My hubs are still fine right now, just checked them while I had my truck on the hoist this afternoon. No worries I'll give you a shout when I will require some.

OME 90021 nitrocharger sport front shocks with 883,884 or 885 coils, who's got them and how do they ride? Trying to decide between these, the 90000 nitrocharger sports, or the old n140s.. The 90021 are on toytec and headstrongs website advertised as being softer valved which I like as I put a lot of hwy miles in.

I have no extra weight on my front end and not planning to add any, I'm going with 883 coils for a little lift and wheelers 3 leaf aal.
    Thanks

Need to get some pictures, but finally got my kit installed over the weekend. Parts installed:
    885x Coils
    N140S* front struts
Dakar rear springs with new OEM Toyota bushings
    N182* rear shocks
    FK29 Carrier barrier drop kit
KYB Top Hats (so I could keep the OEM Bilsteins in one piece)

*That's right, I have the "old" non-Sport version of the shocks and struts. And these aren't some old stock that had been stashed away in a dealer's warehouse. To save on shipping, I arranged to pick up the entire kit at ARB's Renton warehouse (since I live in Renton.)

The production code on the N140S struts indicates they were built in late July 2013. I thought I read in a few threads here that the N140s were discontinued some time ago. Clearly not the case.

The date on my Dakars is 12/19/13 (made in Malaysia), which I believe were "fresh off the boat" from Customs.

I do have some driveline vibrations at lower speeds, but I won't start troubleshooting that until I've had a few hundred miles of break-in. First step might be to take out the FK29 carrier bearing drop. I do have an angle finder, so I'll check the pinion and output shaft angles, which should help narrow down a shim size (if needed.) Glad I installed the collars on the center pins already....

Waiting on doing the alignment too so that things can settle in.

Gave her a bath. She settled down to about 2.5" of lift.

What are the details of your lift and tire size? After many months of contemplating I'm thinking of going with the OME 885x with some 265x75x17 SCSs - hoping that'll be the right combo of bigger tire, but won't have rubbing issues, nor traction issues that happen with 285s in the snow with a light truck.

Im a first gen but looking for answers on the Dakars and shims. Im looking to get 3* shims but keep hearing that you need a "collar" for the center pin...

They Toyotec kit comes with a new and longer center pin which I understand has to be replaced on the spring. What is the "collar" and waht does it do/look like? Am I overcomplicating this?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
in that pic, it's the shinier ring between the overload leaf and the head of the center pin. it's essentially just a spacer to lengthen the length of the center pin head to fit through a shim to the axle mount.

Do you know where I can find one of these? Probably can figure out some spacers from home depot :notsure:

    Or maybe these:

Aren't the toytec shims the kind that bolt on, not the kind that are held there by the center pin head? Still wouldn't hurt to add the collar but is it really necessary?

The reason for the extra length of the pin is to ensure that the leaf pack can be anchored/centered down to the perch through the added space of the shim.

Had my lift on for almost 2 years. Curious to know how long ome shocks typically last? Normal wear and tear, nothin crazy - just wonderin? Anybody had to replace theirs after a while?

Any one got some good alignment specs for an OME 3" w/ LR ucr's? Isn't it 0* toe, 0* camber and like 2.5* caster?
