Honda R&D. Yeah it's pretty much my dream job. If it was somewhere west of the Rockies it would be perfect.

Ben vibrations is everything! I'm mostly using it for diagnosing a noise problem. We use it for chassis calculations a lot too. Sizing spring rates, dampers, etc.

To be honest most of our stuff is in excel macros or lab view, it's still cool to see the practical side of all that though.

And yeah I've been trying to get a buddy a job here, they're super weird about hiring, they won't let me give them his resume and he keeps having to apply online which is a pain.
I got in through a career fair.

 

I never had to take a vibrations class but my school was more of an engineering technician school

 

Yeah it's worth going to an sae conference if you can, great for networking.

I did Baja and hated it. Mostly how the system was setup at our school. Cause the Baja was more of "automotive" project so they didnt want to change anything or how they did things when us "engineers" tried to step in.

Every year before mine did f1 but never got far so they said we couldn't even try which was really what I wanted to do. That was a huge bust on my year. I'd still like to build my own sometime though in the future when I have the money and tools
