I'll show you a car or two that i was forced to work on.

 

Oh yuk. Reminds me of working for the phone company and some of the houses I had to go into. Glad I have not had to work in those conditions for a while.

Thanks for the encouragement. I now have a functioning 12 volt adapter and I will tune my backup lights as soon as it gets dark. Next up is the dimmer switch. Dims are fine. Brights on push turns both headlights off and the flash option is good on the left and turns the right headlight off. I'm thinking a combination of lamp filament problems and possibly the column mounted switch. Do any of you know a Tech/ASE Master who might jump in here? BTW I graduated with a BS from U Maine Farmington Mike. I have relatives in Stratton and can recite most of the Bert and Enod jokes from memory.

I can feel for you Mike. I had a list of homes I never ever wanted to work in again. If I had a repair in one of those homes I would ask the dispatcher to make it the last trouble of the day or I was going to go home, shower and change after I made the repair then come back to work. By the union contract I could do this.

Imagine going into a home where the walls are lined with newspaper because the dog urinates on the walls.

 

So we both know how it is. People are pigs...
