Im sure I can find the answer to my question in this thread but to many pages to look at haha.
My question is im starting to get rust on my spindles so what type of paint can I use to touch them up ? If possible id like to give my spindles like that bedliner paint type of finish I think itll look nice ?!:D

Hey bud... You can use any paint you want to ... Krylon seems to work the best and what I do is clear coat the non painted surfaces to keep them looking good. We factory E-Coat our spindles and that is good but the non painted surface does rust... Now it would take 1000 years to actually do any damage but I know what you guy's mean. Hope this helps

Is there a way you can tell if you have the newer, "corrected" spindle that will not give the issues TCOMA12 PR has had? I purchased a set of spindles a little while back but havent gotten around to installing them yet. If possible, I would like to take care of it before having to break everything down again.

I ran into the same problem but sanded some of it down for the hub to fit smoother. Ive also seen people cut their dust shields and use it as a "spacer" for the hub. Its not much but it could probably help. Im about to cut my dust shield and put it behind there.

Side note: my brake lines are VERY close to my bumpstops. Do I just have to carefully bend the brackets and not kink the lines?? Ill take a picture of it shortly.

Yeah tear down a side and bolt your hub to spindle. Two things will happen. 1 you will be familiar with taking it apart and making thay much easier on the install. 2. you will know if you have clearance issues. Minus brake lines I can literally change these out in less than 30 minutes a side now I've taken it apart so much. I just replaced tie rods and it only took 10 minutes a side. These spindles will make you very familiar with your front suspension.

I bent my brackets a little and zip tied them out of the way. I didn't tie them down secure; just loose enough to allow limited movement.

Quick question regarding these. Is it definitely nessecary to run a 17" diameter wheel with these or can the stock 16" wheel and 1.25" spacers suffice? I've found conflicting info on the interwebs regarding this.

Thanks and looking to pull the trigger ASAP.

I'm running 16 inch wheels with 4.5 back spacing and no spacers. If you are running stock 16 inch wheels you will need a spacer.

Please remember that we have had 4 out of 600 sets.... So this is not common. When you bolt up your hub assembly to the Maxtrac spindle ALWAYS check to make sure the hub assembly spins freely... This would have corrected the problem BEFORE ruining the hub. Also we have tested our factory hub assembly on the returned ones and our hub did not bind at all. Also there is a quick fix to all of this so if you want you can PM me your e-mail address and I will e-mail you what to look for and how to correct it... Hope this helps
