    It's fun taking the doors off, but we use the tube doors for extra protection rather than nothing at all. The only tough thing is making sure nothing falls out. At least jeeps have little lips to catch anything but ours don't haha.

    The tube door on the passenger side of the truck likes to open randomly too while driving and it has startled me a few times haha

    hmmmm. ill have to see what jon did for those. I just want to be sure they hold the door as snug as the factory pins do. I dont want that thing rattling to death on the hinge
    To be fair, and I told aleks this, I would rather destroy a door than my leg, so far trails like rusty nail and cliff hanger where you know there is shit to lean or fall into I will keep them on. But for hells especially, and those easier trails where im just going and dicking around and having fun i want those suckers off. Its just too much fun :D

    I was thinking of getting tube doors but with out the lip like jeeps have I don't think itd be a good idea.

    Wonder if you could weld tabs to the bottom bar and bolt up some thick rubber to it. Keep the crap from rolling out and some of the mud.

    Could even figure out a way to bolt in filler panels to make half doors.

    I see. That's good. One other thing to take into account is your new wide ass tires are going to pelt you will all kinds of shit now with the doors off, especially when turning. Hell with my skinny ones I gave myself a face full of sand through the window when I was backing out of a ditch in the dunes.

    In our old runner I had a rock fling up from the tire going down the road, ricochet off the side mirror and whack me in the ear and this was with a door on and the window down haha. But it is pretty sketchy watching the 40s spinning right next to you.

    What do you guys know about cbs.

    We are trying to tune Andy's and we have it keyed, calibrate it, and switch it to swr (as per the instructions) and the needle jumps up even higher past the red, instead of dropping down into the black like it should, and like mine did 5 minutes prior.

    His is wired like mine is, to the battery, and all the settings are the same. Tried on channel 1 and 40 And with the screw up and down and each time it does the same thing, when we hit swr it goes the wrong way

    Mine did that because it wasn't grounded like this.

    All I had to do was drill out the hole so it would ground the whole thing together.

    It's wired right and the ground plane is cleaned and bare and there is a ground wire form the mount to the bed

    That's what we are trying to figure out.

    The wire doesent look rubbed down or frayed any where, the coax are in the meter correctly....

    I've never had my meter jump up when trying to tune it, so I'm at a loss

    can you check the resistance.... it should be 50 ohms from end to end, eliminate the cable as an issue

    All of my stuff was showing a good ground when I was having issues.

    I know you said it's clean, but if anything that isn't supposed to be grounded at a certain point is in fact grounded, then it will cause issues. And this sounds like what is going on.

    Just go ahead and take apart the whole mount to double check that it's in the correct order, then be sure that the whole is bored out enough so that only the plastic washer on top, and the stud on bottom is touching the mount.

    We will check that now
    The mount is painted, but we sanded down each area that a bolt touches it to mount and where it touches on the bottom

    K the cable by itself reads 2/10ths of an ohm resistance wise
