Do you think high protein high carb and low fat is attainable with a subway diet? My new job and my gym are both about 20 minutes from my home, so breakfast will be whatever I want and anything after that will be what I can find. I know the bread from subway will be high carb, and I keep the nutrition pamphlets so could I just get the lowest fat stuff? And protein isn't a problem, I've got about 30 lbs of it making my dormroom smell like vanilla :p

I will also be trying to run a lot because there is an outdoor 1-mile loop trail between my job and gym.

Also... I was wanting to do a sledgehammer/tire flip workout as a morning routine before work because I finally came across a tire big enough.

very similar to my bulking diet. My carbs and overall calories are a little lower, but it's almost identical, other than that. Stay consistent on that, and you'll put on some weight! What's your height/weight?

Subway is horrible for you. One sub has almost all of your recommended daily sodium intake. Also, most sandwiches are high protein, high fat, high carb. They've got a few options that are low fat, but those are just like a plain turkey sandwich with nothing on it and a few other options. I only try to eat Subway on my cheat days or when I used to dirty bulk b/c they're not as healthy as they market themselves to be. The worst part of them is the sodium, though. Their also super overly-processed and chalk full of a bunch of shit, but what isn't these days lol!?

I would recommend what Mr. Brown and TeamSarcasm said and pre-make meals. That's the cheapest way to ensure you know exactly what you're putting in your body, plus it's 5 times cheaper. It takes me about 1 hour a week to pre-make my meals. Go invest in a big ass lunchbox and carry it with you everywhere you go. If I'm not at the house, there's a 99.9% chance I've got a grocery bag or lunchbox with at least 3-4 meals in it, no matter where I go.

any breads = alot of salt, almost anything with corn in it = alot of salt

stay away from these things, especially when you are at a restaurant and can't look at the nutritional specs

I had no idea how much salt my diet had in it until I actually went and calculated it all. Bread, salad dressing, tuna fish, cheese, green olives, pasta sauce, anything canned, and even protein powder.

oh yeah, cheese, that was the other thing i was thinking of that has a ton of salt.

so essentially if you go to a restaurant and get pasta dish or a sandwich with bread, meat, cheese, and sauce, you are probably way over 2k grams of sodium

My salad and pasta I eat every day was around 2k, alone lol. When I go shopping Sunday, I'm doing a lot of swapping and replacing to get sodium down.

Well what carries the sodium? The bread or the things people put on it? I use whole grain bread, a meat, and then a load of vegetables with no condiments or seasonings or anything like that.

Bah, premaking meals... Why can't I just be lazy? Between my family and my girlfriend's family I end up going to restaurants a lot, too.

Don't your meals get hot and spoiled in your truck?

What are everyone's thoughts on changing the title to the thread? The OP hasn't posted in years, and this thread contains a lot of diet/training misc items, opposed to just 'gym/workouts'

Any suggestions, or leave it as be?
