X 1k.......... He has 36" tires with a 4 banger. I have seen this rig in action and it is bad ass.

It does make me want a crawl box. I wish they were more reliable.

From all the info I have read doing research on the topic I'm pretty confident in the purchase.
Now comes the wait for Mr. Brown to deliver. :pout:

No - I don't think the install will happen until over the summer.
Also, I'll still sponsor the event but due to some family issues the odds of me being able to attend this year are low. :(

Some of the guys with narrower wheels may have the look you like. Steeltaco is on factory OR wheels and pelfry is on the TRD pro wheels. Both trucks have a not-so-wide look to them.

Thanks for the ideas for 35's guys. I have a thing for the "tall and skinnys" and am going to have to get a look at those Interco SSR's in 35 x 10.50. Either going to love them or think "too skinny". Had to put my 255/85R16 on 7" wide wheels (First gen Tacoma alloys) as they looked a bit stretched on an 8" wide wheel yet just right on the 7" wide wheels.

Just searched for the 35x10.50R16 SSR tire, holy cow, $ 411 each!

So I've been shopping wheels. Need them before the 24th of May so the new SCS sr8s are out. Been tossing around the idea of beadlocks, however the truck sees quite a bit of highway still. I've got it down to trail ready HDs or if I go with a non beadlock the konig countersteer type x. What do you fellas think?

Balance beads or the like vs. Wheel weights? I have a feeling I will have trouble finding someone to balance (or try to balance) beadlocks on a machine. Or are my doubts unfounded? I am leaning towards the locks so it's a one time thing.

I use beads. No bead locks yet. But getting them.

Here theory on the bead locks. You air down some, then your tour slips in the wheel or comes off the bead for whatever reason. Now you need to get it balanced again. Beads, they auto balance Everytime they are in motion.

Just bead balance them. It works quite well.

Beadlocks are fun to mount. And by fun, I mean painstaking. Haha

I just pulled my flairs off ( and broke most of the clips). Now to get the fender liners out. Ive read a little about them. Do you just pull the clips out and deal with more breakage? Just didnt know if there is a better way?

I just used a dremel to cut the clips and then pulled the whole thing out.
