I'll prototype up a set on my tacoma and be willing to make them for whoever wants some once school is done! And Alex you'll have to come down again over the summer sometime so we can get under your truck!

so my mom and I went to check out some Tacoma's today and drove a brand new 2014 trd sport, im soo tempted to buy it, so im going to sell my old one and put some cash and the rest will be loaned out

Cam I have my 2 Relentless skids off my truck right now if you want to check them out. My front one is on the truck but comes right off with only 6 bolts.

Yep, they are going to make money off of your truck if you trade it in. I traded in a 99 s-10 in good shape for my tacoma. Probably could have gotten 3 times more for it if i sold it privately. My only advice is try to think ahead when it comes to what your going to use the truck for, and what kind of mods you will most likely do. Is the trd sport worth the extra money over a less expensive package? If you are going to wheel it you might want the factory locker. If you will most likely keep it on the street and do a bunch of apperance mods are the factory color matched parts the sport comes with worth the money now? Should you be looking for a used tacoma so your montly payments aren't to high so you can afford to put a little more money into it. I guess i am assuming you will do some (or alot) of mods because you are a TW member. Just something i never really thought of before i bought my truck.

 

yea, I already know its going to the auction anyways, but since my mom technically owns half of my truck she has the last word, and they wanted to give me 2500, im like f that I spent at least 2 grand in January for all my truck repairs

my plan is to keep it simple for a while like maybe exhaust and intake, once I finish paying it off i'll think bout a lift, im putting at least 20k down and whatever I can get from my old truck so in the end my payments wont be so bad, and plus I want to keep the new truck as long as I can for at least a good 5 years, and I have been saving for a few years cuz I figured that my rates would be lower

 

My skids are gonna be a challenge Cam. Most of the bolts sheared off, so I've been drilling through to the back side of the various crossmembers so that I can bolt on the back side. Harder to line up the skids that way haha
