Hola, any west-siders wanna help me put in my new rear leaf springs? I'm in Buckeye near Sundance... most any evening after 4:30pm would work. Shouldn't take long, refreshments provided!

I did my last ones by myself 4 years ago:

Figured it'll be quicker and easier with another hand... and a chance to meet another TWer

Yeah Brett, I'm taking the family out with the camp trailer this weekend so I won't be around Sunday morning. And next weekend is my drill weekend :(

That leaves weekday evenings... not optimal, but what the hell. I'm hoping to get these in before the turkey hunt in early-mid May. I'll probably just do a little here and there over the next couple weeks unless I get some help.

I could be down to help or offer a well stocked garage. Even better if you can get home earlier.

Was probably gonna recycle or give away the old ones.

I have the tools, but my compressor just crapped out, no shit like 2 days ago... I'll be looking to buy a new one asap. The old leafs are basically out already, so not really looking to move it.

Thanks for the helping offers Ryan and others, really appreciate it... let me get my a/c replaced and maybe we can set a day next week or something.

This Saturday I'm going to get the new leaf packs in... still could use a hand if anyone on the westside has nothing better to do. I can't imagine it taking much more than a couple hours.

Spent a couple hours this morning putting the leafs in, which included the standard amount of creative cursing and smashed fingers:

    l3_zpsaa480ba9_933120776c23f3b34ca4494e7c2146c077097769.jpg

The e-brake line is barely above the leaf pack :notsure:
The bump stop might be a little high now... 1/2" hack saw trim? :notsure:

    l2_zps69ec22bf_c93cb9aa60f0d3736424e8ab41e3ced40d18fe66.jpg

OMGWTFBBQ!!:eek: I may have miscalculated a bit... the rear is HIGH. Maybe it'll settle 1/2". Maybe it'll drop 1/2" with my standard carry load. Maybe I like some rake. Maybe I don't feel like fucking with it anytime soon?

Haha good job on the install! It is quite a bit higher, but the high-clearance rear bumper exaggerates it too.

Oh and I hope you had the other side of the front wheels blocked too, it looked like it would have rolled away from where those blocks are in the picture haha. Then again, it's too late to care now

Get fender lip heights on flat ground yet? I'm sure they'll like being loaded up though.

Kind of far off, but the springs settled a bit... looks pretty good.

The back feels real good with these springs and shocks, better than before.
