A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Wazzup all? Sorry to be a stranger, being an adult is taking up all my time. Somebody shoulda warned me.

Bill Burr in Portland tonight! Stoked the wife and I are getting some adult time. It'll be the last bit of fun we have until our move is over.

Best way to spend a Saturday morning!!!! Fixing the plumbing to my sink that leaked all over the kitchen and soaked the basement ceiling aswell! The section I had to replace was small but im still trying to dry everything out.

Drove to Westbrook to drop off my friend Matt, then continued up to Orono to spend some time with my good friend who goes to umaine. Wasn't too far out there. Only a 5 hour drive. It was a little longer because traffic through boston was stupid.

At least you didn't break out the cutting torch or Sawzall

I had to go floor shopping today... Looks like the living room is getting a bamboo floor.

Sawzall was used for that silly transmission bracket that holds the headers on to the trans. Seeing as there's a rubber hanger like 4" further, I just cut those brackets off (bolt head rounded on the manifold anyway) and I'm not planning on replacing them

Had to pull the intake manifold support brackets and one of the harness brackets to squeeze this header in, with persuasion from a rubber hammer! That's a lot more work to install without removing the front drive shaft, but I wasn't in the mood for driveshaft removal today. Too tricky without a lift!

    HA!
You drove within 10 minutes of my place, then. I'm only about 4 miles from the Sabattus exit (Exit 86).

    Or the "Persuader" (BFH).
What kind of Bamboo? Vertical or horizontal, and charred or white?

Yeah I was even less psyched to be doing all this shit in the cold rain. My ass is still completely frozen from sitting/laying in puddles

When I was your age I used to help my friends work on their cars in the middle of winter at 1 in the morning using a spot lamp for light and heat. Now I have no motivation to do anything unless I'm warm and dry.

This is what I bought. It's horizontal strand and I'd guess charred :notsure:

Thanks! I'm excited to see what this looks like when we're all done. We looked natural color also but I think it'd be too light in the room. We have Maple in the next room over so we wanted something that would at least be the same tone as that wood. I'm going to try and refinish that floor. It's 100 yr old maple and looks awesome, just showing it's age. I think with some sanding and a refinish, I can make it look awesome and still keep the aged look.
Ah, yes, it's carbonized. Best part is it's click lock so no special tools needed for installation.
