Mop...I noticed that in your Pinch Weld plasti-dip mod you show the before and after shot. The after shot looks like it still has the painters tape on it correct? The reason I'm asking is I plan on doing this mod and I was wondering how far up the pinch weld you masked towards the bottom of the door. Did you paint up past the screws that run along the side? I've seen a few people do the mod, but they haven't extended it up past the screws, so on ours (White Tacos') they would still show up as black dots on a white background if ya know what I mean:D Personally, I prefer to plasti-dip up past the screw line to hide those. Is that what you did? And do you have a close up pic you might share?

    Thanks Bro...:)

P.S. I just noticed that Bar Code sticker on the frame...that's def gotta go...lol Looks like a price tag in a sea of black...lol

Installed famous fab hood light brackets and mounted some blue led emergency lighting(firefighter).
Plasti dipped my 4x4 mud flaps and tail pipe red to match emblems.

Not sure how I feel about the tail pipe either. But it's dip so no harm. Prob going to do the rest that you can see in black and see if it helps. Mite black out everything except like an inch on the end

Replaced the hub assembly. Yaaaay! that went all well.

and then I did this because when testing the wheel to make sure the hub was done properly, I left the sway bar off...

    destroyed my outer cv boot.

Yep, tape still on. I killed the dip at the 90. I would not go any further. Here is the beauty. Even squatting, the black screws disappear with only the strip dipped, being the background is black. I mean you could lay down, and see it, but this masks them plenty good enough. As soon as I finish my current drink, I'll walk out to the garage and get a low pic.

LOL!! I have been meaning to ask if I need to leave that exposed/intact. I dipped another in the wells.

Still there, but you'll not notice them much.

Aloha Mops, you're the man! Thanks for taking the time to do that. That's what I love about this forum. The good guys willing to share info.:) Much appreciated! I really like the way it looks, so I'll probably tackle that tomorrow. Wanted to tackle it today, but living in Hawaii we always have high winds. Overspray bonanza...lol You often have to mask off way more than usual:D Keep up the good work!

BTW...I perused through your Flicker albums. Simply outstanding photography!

    Honeycomb composite sleeper platform.
Went climbing and camping up north. Getting to the base of the climb the Tacoma did great going up the Jeep road. Plan was to climb two days till it started raining, turning to hail, then snow. By this time the Jeep road was greasy. Truck was sliding around in 2wd and 4hi. I switched it into 4lo and played with the diff lock and A TRAC. No more sliding around and was able to cross a rapidly rising stream that was previously not there.

Got my bump stops and strike plates in last night. Didn't get a pic of the strike plates though.
