Difference between OME springs?

I already tried searching but it wouldn't work for me.

What are the differences between the OME 884, 885, 885x, and 886? Which one will give my V6 double cab 3" of lift? I have 5100s in front. Thanks everyone! Bill

 

I know that the 885 is for lift without aftermarket bumpers up front, and 886 are for use with aftermarket bumpers, the 886 are about a 1/2 inch taller spring.

I don't know if either or any are compatible with the 5100's.

 

884 and 885 are the same spring rate but 885 are 10mm taller

886 is a higher spring rate and 10mm taller than the 885

The "x" designation is the new series of OME coils that resists sagging , all springs sold since about 2011/12 should be the x series

For 3" of lift on a DC you should use 885's with top plates and the billies set at zero

 

What are top plates?

 

It's a thin spacer that goes at the top of the coil assembly to add lift

What about the 887's? I can't remember exactly what Yota Dan told me, but I do remember that they are longer than 885's?

 

I'M assuming that by "DC" you mean Double Cab? What would you use in the rear to level that out? Bilsteins and an AAL?
