285's @ 1.75" on 5100's No Problem

    And both show the same thing. If the first two numbers are the same, but you use a larger wheel, you get an overall larger tire.

    You could get away with a mild terrain tire like yours, most people go to a really aggressive AT or MT is what the rubbing is, also being a prerunner helps.

    You have the TX Offroad wheels which have the same offset as the FJ wheels which is more than the normal factory Tacoma wheels. This pushes the wheel/tire out from the hub which gives you different clearance characteristics than most of the discussions out there with either of the stock wheel profiles.
