Not overly noticeable, but I painted the Toyota emblem body color.

Thinking of doing a MGM-HLM next weekend.

OK I was finally able to contort my fat ass enough to get my hands on the little green and red wire behind fuse panel that's behind the coin tray. Snipped that sucker and poof...no more DTRL's. I hated those things. Put some electrical tape on the ends of the snipped wire and I'm good to go.

Thanks to the guys who wrote up this mod in the Lighting thread.

Changed the spark plugs today... well 4 out of the 6. The gapper tool slipped and I accidentially hit the ceramic around the electrode on two plugs. Of course, all the auto parts stores are closed on Sunday.

Chris4x4's writeup was invaluable though  http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/30479-how-spark-plug-change-1-gr-fe.html

What's the gray stuff? Was there an attempt to touch-up the chips before?

Also how do you guys keep your truck look clean on the outside . Wash it every week or does a clay bar and wax help on cleaning it. Mine will be dirty in a matter of 3 days . With little spots of dirt the wind has been blowing good here but still.

Today was Derpday Sunday for me. I blacked the rear bumper, the "oh sh!t" bars, lower valance, the little plastic chip guards behind the cab, and in between coats I installed a light in the bedroom closet and installed my workbench bottle opener. I bought an extra for the truck bed :) next weekend I think the BHLM should be happening.

My favorite right now is Breckenridge Breweries Vanilla Porter. With so many craft microbreweries in the Denver area, a beer hobbiest never may never know the type of bottle top.

I use the California Car Duster for a light layer of dust. Then Meguirs quick detailer and a microfiber. Wash once a week. Clay and wax often. Lot of effort and energy really.

(Also probably helps that my truck only has 830 miles on the clock)
