Why is your Toyota better than my Nissan?

Looks like my trusty 06 NISMO Frontier has to go shortly. I have twins on the way and they won't both fit in the truck. I am stuck with buying a crew cab. Just wondering what you folks could say to have me switch to a Tacoma this time? I do some towing, a fair amount of highway driving and a fair amount of off road driving but in Ontario the TRD pakage is a joke, it is the TRD "sport" package, which basically means my Nismo would crush it in the bush. It has a 2.5 inch lift and stock size tires but it is awesome. I am really torn between the two just like I was when I bought this truck! I do have to say that I like the availability of aftermarket parts for the Toyota though.

    Thanks a lot

    You drive right outta there!
the 4.0L v6 is a great motor with lots of pep.
it's taller than most stock trucks. Tsb in the rear with ome in front will cost under $500 to get 2.5'' of lift

    so many reasons

Thanks, but the crew cab does not come with a diff lock where I am from, which sucks because it has saved me more than once! I will be looking for an aftermarket one regardless of weather it is toyota or nissan. The crew cab nismo is only available in a shot box and I need a standard box. Just like the trd only comes with a diif lock in the access cab in Ontario! Why do the japs make it so hard for me???

The canadian TRD sport isn't bad at all. I have one, hehe. It's not too bad off road (very capable) but really impressive on the highway. Since you have twins on the way, you will have plenlty of room. I have a five year old and he is quite comfy in the rear along with his friends. The mileage is great, it looks great, good resale value, roomy, smooth ride, etc.

Some things I hate include carpet flooring, cheap non locking tailgate, Lack of solid tie down points, mudflaps too long and stiff, no heated mirrors, and no locking gascap. Many of these things can be modded though so it's nothing too major. I would recommed a double cab though.

I'm quite pleased with my Tacoma and wouldn't want anything else.

Why do people still compare Frontiers to Tacomas???
Tacomas are so much better leading the way in quality wars...have you tried rolling down a window in a Frontier? The whole switch panel moves!

That being said, I'm sure people added a locker to their sport dbl cabs.

The dealership I went to had never even heard of a TRD Offroad. I don't think they sell them here either.

    Pretty much stock
it does not...its 1 piece molded door panel, its one thing to compare them...but that is just crazy. I agree the interior quality of the tacoma is better but the frontier isn't a rattlebox give it a little credit. I never had any issues with my frontier as far as quality/fit/finish. the interior of the tacoma is more car like where as the frontier is more truck like. The frontier is like 100% plastic inside and you can tell, where as the tacoma has nice textured finishes.

um if you read reviews its pretty much neck and neck between these trucks, some places say the tacoma is better and others favor the frontier, imo the looks of the tacoma is what sold me.

True but still, if Nissan can't get a window switch plate to be steady when you roll down the window, I can only imagine about the rest of the truck.

not sure what you are talking about, i was commenting that the whole switch panel doesn't move on the frontier because its a 1 piece molded door panel. I have owned both a 08 frontier and my 09 tacoma....thanks
