TOOLBOX...choosing tools

Whats your favorite brand of tools? Post up a pic of your Toolbox...

 

where are all the grease monkeys? Surley not everyone takes the yota to the stealership to get wrenched on...

 

I'll Post a picture of my fathers Bright Blue Matco tonight when i swing by their house and a picture of my Craftsman. And there is a HUGE differance in a $5k tool box and a $500 one. I never knew it until he got his Matco.

 

The diffrence is night and day...you can stand in the drawers of a nice tool box. I have even seen one used to help remove the front sub frame from a car that was on a hoist.

I Voted. and Yeah the top drawer in his is about 4.5ft wide and can hold 800lbs just in that drawer and still roll smooth. its sick. He gave me his
Craftsman Ball Bering when he bought the new one. I like it but it has nothing on the Matco.

 

The red 13 drawer box from HF is actually a pretty nice unit. Right now they are on sale and add a 20% coupon they can be had for $280 plus tax!

 

A mixture of Mac and Craftsman here. The Mac guy comes to my work every Monday and offers very generous payment plans interest free, it's hard not to buy stuff...

 

Have a Snap-On roll-away with mixed Snap-On, Craftsman and Mac tools. Used to work at a GM dealer before military and switching to IT. It's sometimes hard to resist that beautiful tool truck with tools jumping at you from every angle. Like a kid in a candy store.

There is a definite difference between Craftsman's regular line of tools and Snap-On. You might not notice it until you use one. Ignorance is bliss!

 

all of my hand tools are craftsman or snap-on, wierd one job tools from harbor frieght. and all air and power tools are ingersol rand

 

I have almost the same set up. All of my one time tools belong to some one else though!

 

I will also readily admit to frequenting harbor freight for certain throw aways/ one time use tools....you just cant beat the price china throws our way....even if you do have to replace it multiple times. On real tools though, the higher price pays for themselves in the end...

 

I never understood what the popcorn guy means....borring? or what? How come none of you guys have pics of your tool boxes?

Mostly Klein Hand tools, some mastercraft, craftsman sockets, channel locks, i seem to have a different manufacturer for every type of tool that i prefer. Lately ive been replacing all my tools with german made though, knipex, Wera, Whia those types.
