It's official guys, truck is totaled. Gotta wait until next week to get a price for my truck. Doing a buy-back. They give me my truck plus Fair Market Value - Salvage Value. I'll use that money to help pay for a new truck so keep your eyes open! I want to be able to go on our next trip in my own vehicle!

Apalachicola Park near Tallahassee for a weekend camping first, offroading/exploring second trip. Probably a Friday to Sunday trip.

I am still waiting to hear back from USAA to see if they are covering my truck. If they are, I'll get another Tacoma. If they won't... I don't know what after that. Get something cheap probably...

    Hey!
I just bought a 4x4 FJC and I am looking to use it for what it was made for. This is my first 4x4 vehicle and it is still stock (however it won't be for long). I don't know of any areas to go off roading other than off 98 over by the power lines and Eglin. But since the car is stock, and I have never off-roaded before, I dont really want to go alone.
This is also my first post. I briefly looked to see if there was a thread for intros but didn't see it - but I did not look too long. This seems like a great forum with lots of resources.

Anyways, I also own a miata and autocross regularly. I like to drive and I have a decent amount of experience going fast, but this is a new world of driving to me and I am excited. I am looking forward to doing some sort of driving even every weekend.
Anything coming up in the area??

    Thanks!

I know where a few camp sites are and the atv area. But I haven't really explored the forest much due to work ect.

Welcome! you definitely chose a good vehicle to off road with. This forum does offer a lot of information on DIYs, lifts, tires, almost anything really lol. we have our next meet sometime this month whenever we decide it will be lol.

Im over here at Eglin and Ive been out to the trails a good bit, but ive only explored so much myself since im 2wd. but there are a lot of places on the ranges you can explore. There are other off road spots around us here on the panhandle, our last meet was in Daphne Alabama, then theres Bogs and Boulders off road park, and this next one we are going to is more out by Pananma City at a state park I believe for a camping/offroading trip
