I almost forgot about the "no post-processing" rule and submitted this after I edited it. I had to go back and reset the photo to default and re-upload it to Flickr. Hope that still counts ha

I give you, 4Runner of "Steel". 22R-E still running after all these years and abuse!

Out wandering around found these two old fuel tanks that had been un-earthed. I have another edited shot I put in the photo thread if you're interested. Completely untouched, just converted to jpeg, and added my watermark.

Grey and cloudy most all weekend and now for the next 7-10 days. Which is why I likely kept coming back to this picture where the sun actually came out for a couple of minutes. Enough to even cause shadows LOL. JPEG untouched straight from camera.

Steel bridge over Mississippi River which is being replaced by a modern one as soon as it is completed. The last 1/3 section here is going into Buffalo County Wisconsin.

I captured this from my desk at work as the sun was coming up over downtown Fort Worth. I really like this picture and think it shows a great deal of steel since that is what most of the buildings are made of. Good luck everyone.

Been a busy week and almost forgot. Unedited, just slapped a watermark on there. Taken with my 50mm reversed at f/11, 1/60, ISO 400 and used built in flash.

Great entries this week, guys, it's a tough choice!
    My thoughts:

Pkjr (Pete): Very nice! I really like the rule-of-thirds and concentric circles that you set up here and the way that the entire photo is in focus with your straight-down shot. You said you used a custom white-balance setting, can you explain that a little, please? I'm curious how that affected the photo.

EFalco50 (Ethan): Those wind turbines are crazy huge! I like how you set up so that the blades all radiate outward from the central housing. I wonder, is there a way to increase the contrast through camera settings? I think that would've made the turbine pop out a little better, distinguishing it from the background.

Scocar (Scott): Shoot, just realized, was your train photo supposed to be an entry? The description of it in your gallery dates it to May 1, 2010...

Shipps (Josh): This is a really nice photo! Just goes to show how well phone cameras can perform these days. I really like how you set up the lines going back towards the mountains in the background and how the focus is set partway down the blade. The texture is really great, too! Did you play around with different focal points? I'm wondering how it would look with a focus at the front of the blade or at the mountains.

BuzzardsGottaEat (Chaz): Sweet old-school runner! I like the different colors of the runner contrasting with the bland modern building behind it. I think it would be better if you took the picture from a lower angle from more in front of the truck, which would show it as a little more mighty and may have included more of the miscellaneous stuff on the side of the building that might have shown it to be a bit more of a work horse. Did you ever change the vignetting on the post-processed one?

Skidooman (TJ): Those are some huge fuel tanks! Do you know what they were for? I like the perspective on the tanks going down the length of them, but I think this photo would improve if it were shot from closer to the ground. I think that would've really shown their size.

Cold Iron (Mike): That's a cool bridge! The change between counties is really weird! I agree that the sun definitely improves the shot with the shadows. I think it would be better if you took the shot closer to the end of the bridge so you get more striking leading lines down the length of the bridge, but you probably had some access restrictions.

Tex (Aaron): Neat skyline shot! I really like the weird orange, hazy effect that gives you just the silhouette of the buildings. Was that orange-ness from your window or smog?

Blackdog (Monte): I really like this one! I actually think the empty sky above the structure adds a bit more to the "rocket" theme of the park and also makes the structure seem small, bringing out more of the kid-sized aspect of it. I also really like the way the blues and reds pop out! Is that from the white balance setting?

Pistol Pete (Eric): That's one clean cassette! Mine is nowhere near that clean :p. I really like how the focus follows the teeth in the two rings smaller than the one the chain is on, but I think you should have framed it so that the chain logo was either entirely in or entirely out of the photo because that's where my eye is drawn right now. I really like the texture of the tiny bits of dirt and dust and the shallow depth of field, though!

FreidTaco: No kidding, that is a really sketchy chain! I think this photo would've been better if the focus was on the weird curved bolt between the two links, 'cause that's definitely the sketchiest part, at least to me. I like the way that you captured the entire length of the chain from that weird bolt to the hook wrapped around the tree! I've always liked that angle.
