    Monte!
I really liked the way you brought out the colors and the kid rocket in the playground. Made me want to go swing around on it! :D :p
    Great shot, man!
Was a very tough choice between Monte's, Josh's, and Pete's. Nice work, guys!

Hey Thanks. It was more of a spur of the moment phone shot. Chain ended up breaking right after the photo was taken.

Thanks for the feedback! The haz was something in the air, either pollen, dust or humidity(maybe all 3). Its been a rough couple of weeks here for people with allergies.

Haha, hey, for all we know he might've just posted it to show steel :notsure:

 :p Where did it break?

Ooof, that sucks! Yeah Davis in the springtime is really hard for people with allergies (including me). They say if you didn't have allergies before, you get them in Davis...

So i have a good challenge..bit worried people won't be able to partake due to software issues..But i think it'll work out.

    New challenge!

    Panoramic!

Any place, Any time, Any subject. Needs to have at least 3 photos stitched together.

**NOTE!! Obviously for this challenge photos are going to be much longer, for this challenge please keep the HEIGHT to 1200px. Width will not be against you. IF you do a VERTICAL panorama, WIDTH must be 1200px

I know all canon users have free Photostich software that comes with their camera..not sure about nikons..there are tons of options out there for making these. Cell phones can do it too!

    Go! :D

Grats, Monte! Cool theme for this week, now I just have to figure out a location!

The Canon photostitcher sucks from what I remember when I used it last. For a more advanced (and free) stitcher, check out Hugin

Thanks man, didn't play with the focus too much but I wish I had. I quickly took about 3 photos with the focus at different points and this was he best of them. I was standing there looking at the mountains with the trackhoe in front of me when the weekly challenge popped in my head so I snapped a couple quick ones :D

Panoramics should be a fun one! Good challenge Monte

It was not an official submission, I was just using it as a lever to pull Ben's head out of his ass.

But for what it is worth, I could go take the pic again right now. It is on the tracks near the California State Railroad Museum. One of two massive Santa Fe 2-10-2s that were donated to the museum. My wife and I went out and shot them on New Years Day in 2010. Total eye candy for photos.
