The guy at discount actually gave me the extra socket to use "which I destroyed".
Plus, I got the tires from discounttiredirect.com and they still rotate and balance them for free. Even though it does take foreveerrrrrr......

I've used Discount for a years now and mostly have been good to deal with. Only consistent problem they seem to have is filling my tires to like 60+ PSI due to the load rating rather than the weight of my truck but that's an easy fix. I became pretty well known with one of the managers at the one in Foco (before they tore that particular one down) so I always got good service because he knew what requests I had. One being for the employees not to treat my bumper like a jungle gym, which he always chewed them out if they did. And he also knew that I knew what I was talking about rather than most other employees talking down to women.

I did learn though that they don't torque down the locking lug nuts. One of mine fell off so I went back to him and he was nice enough to order a whole new set of nice TRD ones for me free of charge, and always properly tightened them.

Discount does good work like I said, it's the ever increasing wait time and basically being misled about wait times and supposed appointments. If not for that, I'd still be a customer. I used them exclusively for 24 years. They never used to be that bad, it's just been the last 3-4 years that they have the really long wait times.

From what I have read from others on here I think this may be more of a problem in the FoCo stores alone.

The problem is they are franchises so one store can be awesome and the other be shit.

They opened up a Discount Tire a minute from my house.

Never busy. Plus I have the ability to go during off hours. I can be in and out for a rotation in 10 mins tops.

I forgot I saw the coolest donk the other yesterday on my drive back home  I'm pretty sure this is the same exact one judging from my pics. This thing was almost as high as my truck!

Whoa! A firefighter with a male cop as his avatar! The scandal! What will his friends and parents think?
