I just bought a 2011 dcsb v6 auto prerunner. I've driven about 1000 miles and it has the clunk from the rear almost every time I start from a stop. Has anyone had this tsb done and did it fix your truck? I've seen low transmission fluid and axle wrap as other causes for it. Which fix should I try first?

    Thanks for your help.

you've got 5/60000 to get the drive shaft replaced under the tsb. I have a '12 prerunner and am waiting until closer to the 5/60000 to get it done. Anyway don't miss it (and it'd be nice to have the new part anyway). If you're close to 50000 on the odo, do a tranny fluid change anyway-
    It's good PM. Then drive a bit/evaluate what's next.

I'm at 47,2XX miles so I have some time before my 5/60,000 expires. I'll grab some ATF and do a drain and fill and see if that helps. Does anyone know if the clunking can cause any damage or is it just annoying as hell.

You are still under warranty . Take it to the dealer and complain . Make them pay for your trans fluid .If the trans is low , you will do damage and it is very annoying

I did the drain and fill and my tranny was about a beer low...2 quarts drained out and I put in 2 quarts and 12 oz. I've only driven 15miles or so but so far it seems better. I'll keep am eye on it and take it to the dealership if it comes back.

I drive a 2014 DCSB OR. I'm feeling a bump when I come to a stop. It's like something heavy moving around, but only for a second. Is this the same problem? I found a TSB on it, but it's not out for the 2014's . Any Ideas? My truck only has 10000 miles on it.

Driveline "windup" or "binding" My 08 sometimes would feel like I got rear-ended when I would start from a stop. Turned out to be driveline windup. Toyota replaced the driveshaft but I had to really push them.
