First Eastern Diamondback in the new truck. Just wanted to throw it out there there that there is no reason to run these guys over with your taco! I study this beautiful creatures and I promise they will leave you alone if you dont bother them.

Eastern diamondbacks are really gentle giants if you approach them the right way. I've had a cane break rattler in my collection who could get a little feisty but normally layed back. Cool find  especially so early in the year! I might have to put my snake hooks back in my truck already lol

very nice! I like snakes and usually just move them away from the house... that is unless mom sees it i have to kill it no matter what kind it is. only other thing i’ll kill is a copperhead thats by the house, don’t want to take the risk with dogs that go out side unleashed or stay outside with a wireless collar.

x2 would like it try it as well. i know my dad has before.

I ran a snake over once, not on prupose but it's like hitting a dear, it came out of nowhere.

And I also ate rattle snake a couple of time, deep fried with cactus fries...

Yeah it was a gaboon viper. I have a gut feeling it's dead. I live in mtp and and got stupid cold for 2 days and I highly doubt it made it through that.

Depends. I have the 72 inch gentle giant snake tongs they cost around 80 I believe. I got them more for my boas and larger diamond backs when out snake hunting or "herping" and I make my own snake hooks.

When snake hunting I take my Midwest gentle giant tongs my homemade snake hook and my hex armor puncture proof gloves with the gator grip and abrasion resistant features. There great for smaller gators tu8u3edu_9f449761b002809027ed0f7f7c7df105df8a9be8.jpg

may get one just for the hell of it. i usually just pick them up, but may use it to move them out away from stuff so i can pick them up.
last time i was in chas i looked for a gator but never found one. i did see a small shark on folly when i was a little deeper than my knees. it was probably 18” or so, i tried finding it again so i could pick it up... only saw it for about 2 seconds.
