    I do want to get new tires, but the wheels I was gonna get are delayed until June now so I'm debating getting some 1" spacers instead and sticking with the stock wheels, especially after seeing 255's on an 8.5" wide wheel.

    According to the manufacturer the tires can be used on an 8.5" wide wheel, but the edge of the rim will be flush with the outside edge of the sidewall.

    I say 285s should be used instead but jay is set on scratching up his brand new wheels :p

    8.5" is the upper limit for wheel width for most 255 tires (KM2, ST MAXX, etc.).

    It was amazing the difference in appearance on 7" vs 8.5" width. I honestly didn't expect it to be that noticeable.
