Sadly a new Tacoma is still over a year away. Which is bad news for impatient people.

113k Tundras vs. 160k Tacomas vs. 460k F150s isn't what I would call amazingly well.

Given how homely and fuel thirsty they are, I guess it's amazing they are selling at all.

i’m just saying around here they are about even with numbers. i’m sure other areas maybe different.

also the 5.7 dose not get as bad as a lot of people say. gets about what the taco gets. i got a 17pg average driving my brothers around for a few hours, and i did not go real easy on it i was playing around and stomping on the gas at red lights and getting up to speed fast just for fun. not use to so much power. at one point i was getting a live reading of 19.7.

This is the same kind of armchair quarterback bullshit article that knocks Tacomas for not having as much chrome as other trucks.

Did you actually even read the article? It wasn't that bad and it's no secret that when it comes to options, the Tacoma is lacking. People buy the Tacoma because it's a good, reliable truck but that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement, regardless of what the fanboys say...

Still lots of speculation in that article. He talks about the twin turbo 4 banger as if it's definitely going to be a reality.

I would say that may not be too far from a possibility to be honest, remember that toyota has put a turbo 4 in trucks in the past and they have a legit cult following now.

They forgot to mention Tacoma's crappy rear suspension, if ever the Tacoma needed fixing, its back there.

The Tacoma lacks simple items that should be part of it.
    1. rear tail gate lock
    2. auto up on the auto down windows
    3. the fake leather that is in the Lexus line should be in the Toyota line up on the trucks. The material is great and easy to keep clean. Spills, dirt mud just wipe off. wears much better than leather and is soft to the touch. This stuff would be great in the trucks.
    4. keyless entry or at least move the fob to the key or make the fob the key(like bmw) two pieces is one to many
    5. Ditch the worthless hoodscoop on the sport. We are past the days of fake items on vehicles to make them look cool. Despite the bead lock rims on the Baja. LOL
    6. turbo...TURBO...TURBO charge the V6. much less expensive than the Supercharger and better fuel eco should be the result as well as being able to get the power when needed.

Feel free to add your thoughts.

Not sure why so many people care about auto up on windows? I prefer my vehicles to only have auto down.

Is it really that much more convenient or hard to hold the button for one or two extra seconds? I've only ever had "auto up" on two cars I've owned, and both of them ended up having the windows eventually slam up into the door hard, break, and drop back down inside the door. Not to mention the possibility of pinching someones hand or a dogs paw in the window when using it.
