It's in Medfield, close to the corner of Rt. 27 and 109. I was looking there for some stone for around my house but haven't gotten around to it yet.

 

They must have been tourists as well. Most actual year-round Newport County residents are poorer, per capita, than you might think. It has a school district that ranks right up there in the OMG We Have No Money cities like Providence.
Most of the collar-up clenchers are not permanent residents.

I know know if you're being sarcastic or not but if you really need 10 tons, pay the delivery fee for a truck load. Your back will thank you!

Providence is not any better. All of the 'populated' cities in RI are sucking wind for taxes. The less populated bedroom communities have much lower car tax. My parents live in Exeter (Washington County) and pay half of what I do.

The car I just traded for the truck was $800 per year in tax.

The car-as-property tax in RI was originally meant to go AWAY. They just eliminated the exemption for the first $6,000 in value in Providence. City is so messed up financially they can't live without that money now...and the roads and schools still suck.

 

When my daughter looked at Salve Regina they had said she would be doing her student teaching in the community and explained how it was very poor. I was shocked that Newport was like that
