Bro, just Craigslist yourself a beater that gets 20+ MPG's, or a cheapo motorcycle and call it a day.

Ok Nor-Cal TW peeps... I have a request.

I'm gearing up for my upcoming trip to Flagstaff for Overland Expo, then on to Moab for Wheeling/camping/national park awesomeness.

This being my wife and my first trip with our new addition, our 8 month old daughter Willa. Needless to say we have acquired a whole new level of crap that we must bring with us. I used to have my packing for trips down to a science, but now I'm plagued with large ungainly baby containment devices that don't pack well! I'm convinced that we'll be fine with our baby backpack and a few toys... But my wife (the smart one...) knows better. So... Enter the packing nightmare. How could something so tiny need SOOO MUCH CRAP!

Anyways, rant over, onto my request. I am looking for a Yakima Load Warrior or (even better) Mega Warrior Basket to BORROW for the trip. Or one you want to sell for ridiculously low price. I will take full responsibility for it of course, and even willing to entertain reasonable barters.

I put the "Borrow" in bold because I'd really like to try one out for the trip, see if it's really what I need. I'd rather not buy one and they find out Its not really ideal. I'm sure somebody out there has one that's just taking up space in their garage right? Right... .... ... ? :)

I have the tracks and bars on my camper shell so all I'd need is the basket and attachment points. I plan on putting stuff up there like the BOB stroller, something that's big, but light, and will be needed often, basically every time we stop to walk around.

I've checked C-list, and there are a few available, but as I said before, I'd really love to just give one a shot for the trip, and if it works out then I'll pop for one. I just hate buying crap that is destined to just sit in the garage forever...

Oh and on a total side note, the trip's planned for May 15-26th, with 3 nights on the White Rim trail in Moab, if anyone is going to be down there during that time, or wants to join in...

Awesome! 3 minutes and already a helping hand. F-Ing love Tacomaworld.

Tahoe is a bit out of the way, and I'm basically working nonstop until the trip so I don't know if I'd be able to swing out there. Although I could always adjust the route...

Hmm. Thanks Jason, I'll keep ya in mind if I make it out that way, or if nobody closer pops up.

You can borrow mine if you want. We aren't doing our big trip till the end of Aug, so, I don't need it till then.
I usually put about 100-120lbs of shit on it when I go camping, it's pretty durable, so i dont mind loaning it to you.
I'm pretty far away from you though.:)

If you ever decide to buy one, I bought my MegaWarrior for $300 brand new shipped to my door. I don't know about now, but back when I was searching I was finding used and beat for $350-400, $500 retail.

I will never turn down Pliny.
It's been sitting in my storage unit since december.
I gotta go to Marin on Thursday morning, I can drop it off then, if you want.
I can text you later, after I know what time I gotta be in Marin.

Thanks MJ! I will definitely still come out with everyone.

I've thought about it, but I really did not want 2 payments at once while being so young and not making that much.

Should have bought a 2003 Civic Hybrid, they do 50mpg on the freeway when you're not an ass.

They go for around $3k when the IMA Battery is bad, and it's user replaceable, they just use D-Cell NIMH Batteries and for the most part can be fixed for a couple of bux or via recharging with an RC Car battery charger.

Payments on the 2014 TDI must be ass.

That's a really nice bumper though. Too bad your truck isn't silver, otherwise we could do a bed swap and I could buy the rear bumper from you. :p

Yeah I thought about going towards something like a Civic, but my family used to have that car and I wasn't a fan of it. This is the 2nd VW I've had and I have always been a fan of their work, and lucky me, my payments are very similar to that of my Tacoma :D

Yeah I love that bumper. If you ever want one just talk to Billy at Brute Force Fab ;)

I have a bunch of take-off IFS parts for sale from my 2001 double cab including manual hubs/CVs/spindles/4.10 diff, Geolandar ATS'/rock crawler wheels, Bilsteins and Eibach springs, radiator, mudflaps etc. Should I make a new thread? I'd like to sell to locals only since most of this stuff will be a pain in the ass to ship.
