I'm so godamned tired of my commute. I drive over 50 miles EACH WAY to work.Been doing it for 4 years now and it is gettin' old. Its too expensive to rent or buy in the area I work. On top of that I hate living in California and especially hate living in the Bay Area with disillusioned people. I swear to god I'm tempted just to say the fuck with it and just quit my job and get the hell out of here, move to the sticks, and do my own thing. Nuff said.

Yep. I'm totally wearing out my car and truck doing this commute. We got a "newer" car last year with 50k. Now it has almost 100k. Ridiculous. That and the commute means I spend 2-3 hours everyday sitting in traffic with lots of idiot drivers.

yep mines about 50 miles round trip and i cant stand it. i hate traffic. I was home on leave and it was the best traffic in the world. population 600 and 700 in the town next to it. nearest town is 5000 then the next is 60000(1.5 hour away). i cant wait to get back there. I drive a beater car to work though and let the taco rest at home.

i feel for ya. i drive 56 miles one way on country roads, though i only work 14 days a month though. still its easy to rack up the miles and it sucks when you think of the time you spend driving could be spent doing this or that. but it pays the bills so i cant complain too much

I feel ya...57 miles ONE WAY ...114 roundtrip 5 days a week. I've been doing it for 14.5 years. Want to really make yourself sick? Calculate the hours of drive time you'll have by the time you retire. If I remember correctly after 25 years I would have spent something like 1.5 years just driving!!!!!!
