That's a nice looking piece. What is it? Is that .380 ammo it eats?

I have one and love it. The 92 is a good gun there is a ton of information about it out there

The biggest complaint I have heard is the size of the gun, I have relatively large hands and it fits me well. The wife doesent like it because it's too big and heavy

When I first went looking for a 9 mm, I did pick up a 92, and I was comfortable with it, but my wife was having issues with holding it and being able to put her finger on the trigger at the same time due to size. As I recall, it was also significantly heavier than most other 9mm. I have no experience shooting them though.

They're fantastic largely because if you run out of ammo you can throw the gun at your assailant and likely be more effect than the other projectiles you already threw at him at high velocity! :D

i thought that was a hi point...but that's if the projectiles actually leave the gun first.

also can double as a hammer.

even though my UTC in the guard said i was supposed to be proficient on the M9, i never got to shoot it.

Thanks guys. if most complaints are about the weight and the size that shouldn't be an issue, that why we were looking at them in the first place as most felt too small or light.

So georgia has apparently passed campus carry. we had the big "guns everywhere bill" so dubbed by the media and then this small little bill that seems to allow campus carry

I bought a new Kimber 45 and .22, shot them Friday and traded them in on Saturday. Hated them, the .22 stove piped all over the place, poor quality. The 45 had terrible disassembly and there were issues in the MFG processes with metal shavings when I took to apart.

    Bottom line, I bought an H&K 45, and I LOVE it! :)

One of the big reasons we decided against moving there. I've got WAY too many firearms (especially NFA items) to consider a move to a non-gun friendly state. You'd think they'd be more for law abiding citizens having guns & knowing how to use them given their history.

I dislike all things Kimber due to similar experiences for both myself & friends. I'm sure some will post up positive experiences but I've given up on Kimber long ago.

Yeah.. i still dont see why everybody cant put their heads together and make one set of rules for everybody, then modify them as needed rather than have every single state with different rules... it makes things difficult, especially for those who travel a lot like my family.

They did, it's called the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution.

State's rights shouldn't be overlooked. A state's rights should supersede the federal government in fact and the federal government should only step in if a state's rights are infringing on an individuals rights. For instance, say your state makes a law stated that you can be fired for your religious beliefs. The federal government should step in and return the rights to the individual as the individual's rights supersede the state's rights which supersede the federal government's rights. The problem we've got ourselves into lately is allowing our federal government to have WAY too much control in our laws & daily lives. It was originally set up as a Republic so that state's could create laws as it's residents saw fit and if you didn't approve you could either do your part to change the vote or move to a state that more closely matches your views. You were still an American either way. We're now to the point where we want federal laws for EVERYTHING and it's setting a dangerous precedent as it's causing state's rights to slowly take a back seat to the federal government's rights, law by law. So, you see, our problem is already the Federal government. As soon as the state's starting passing laws controlling our firearms the federal government should have stepped in to return those rights to what the founders of the Constitution intended. Instead it decided to erode our 2nd amendment rights even further and this is going on still today. States are slowly fighting back as of late and I think the people as a whole are starting to realize how important our 2nd Amendment really is and the peaceful push back has begun to regain our rights and our power from the government as a result. At least this is my hope because a lot of people talk a tough game about a revolution but in reality this is the LAST thing we want. Sorry for the brief rant but I think we're past the point of our Federal government stepping in to return our 2A rights since the NFA is a Federal law which turned into a Federal entity. Paying a fee to the Federal government to exercise our 2A rights? Yeah, I'm sure that's what our founding fathers had in mind.

Any ideas on what color to pick up to paint my 700 receiver? I was going to paint the barrel black, but the stainless has kinda grown on me! I know it won't be a perfect match but want to get it as close as possible. Can the steel receiver be polished?
