Exactly how I see it. Work is overrated and tends to get in the way. :D

Agreed, Think you were the only one who rode in hur? :D I've wrecked twice bad once on a track once on the road. The road sucked. I was doing maybe 110 on a back road... Driver was in my lane coming at me as i come over a hill, I swerved right and hit a Colvert.. Jeans and t shirt, hurt so good, I have road rash scars on my legs and arms :( the one one the track wasn't bad it was at a higher speed but it was full leather and into a large turn so I just slide away. I use to put my wheelie bike into fields north of greeley in college lol.

That's why I do the least amount I can. But I will never turn an over time shift down. The money on that at my job is waaaayyy too good.

No, I didn't think I was the only one who rode but I might be the only one having similar experiences to the video including hitting a deer at 120mph+ :D

I did the things you did too but that one took the cake. The Ford F250 pulling out in front of my at about 45mph didn't even come close to comparing to that one. Track stuff doesn't even count you mamby pamby. ;-)

BTW, #1 Stunna 4 lyfe!

Look at that hair and cargo jeans!! I've almost hot a deer that would not feel good. I said the track didn't hurt... Other than my pride and bank account. The Colvert hurt because my head broke my fall.. Then some how is tumbles to my feet and that sent me flying to my stomach and pain. But that wreck enabled me to build a race bike so I guess it was a blessing in disguise.

I was pretty hot shit back in the day. :p

I had track offs too and they just weren't the same as a public roadway off even if the pain was still there. It's just not the same when you're in a controlled environment. I think most accidents are blessings in disguise in one way or another and my last one (The F250) was enough to make me realize that riding on public roadways was just dumb. I gave up riding and haven't looked back even though it was HUGE part of my life for decades prior to that.

Yeah I hung it up when I was on i25 at 120th and I rode a wheelie south bound to 104th with no gear on. I got off the exit and went to Colorado power sports and sold that bike that day. Went and got my r1 and sold it the same day. Took the money and bought a new Wrx haha. I'll still ride the chopper around every now and again but I just cruise that pretty much.

Ya'll just need to get a bigger heavier ride. Something with presence and attitude on the highway. Plus way more comfy and chicks dig it. ;)

I'm building another this summer. I have to go pick the bike I'm starting with up In ohio though. That was a big bearkit, did everything but some of the wiring and the paint.

Not to soap box it but I thought the exact same thing with my 2007 GSX-R1000 when I bought it after taking a year or so off after over a decade of putting millions of miles (street & track) on motorcycles all over the country. I wore my gear EVERYWHERE and didn't even do a single wheelie or stoppie on that bike. I did the speed limit for the most part and obeyed the laws everywhere and rode as defensively as you can imagine. The words you're saying are the same thing I was thinking and I'm lucky to still be here to tell you: You're wrong. You think you can do something a little bit better or safer and avoid it and you can't. You can't control it. You can't change your style to prevent something bad from happening to you and I'm proof. I was one of the safest and most experienced riders on two wheels on the public road that day and it still didn't help. The temperature was in the 90's and despite that I wore all my gear as I refused to ride otherwise which is ironic when my previous ride wear when I first started out in the 90's was shorts, a t-shirt, flip flops & Oakley shades to keep the bugs out of my eyes... you know, for safety. lol My helmet, gloves, jacket, kevlar jeans and boots saved my ass that day. I was sore for a few weeks, had some burns and bruises and such that made it hard to sleep for a couple of weeks but, once again, I walked away from something most don't. You can ride as safe as you want but you simply can't rule out all the variables. So I stay in vehicles now so that I'm at least substantially safer when I do get hit. I owe that to my wife and my mother and you have even more to live for than I do man. I hate to be 'that guy' but if it at least makes one person consider their choices then it was worth it.

Also responsible for the most #'s of accidents (both injury and fatal) of all the motorcycle categories. No thanks.

Oh I agree 100%. The chopper in my pic is prolly getting sold or traded for a boat no one in my family rides much anymore. My dad is selling his 99 heritage too. :D the other one I'm building will be a tribute bike for my buddy who has MS and can't ride anymore. It's his bike I'm using to build it.
