I'll never stop riding, it's a passion that I love too much. After having one bike totaled from under me, and another barely repairable after a 6 day hospital stay with aortic complications I can completely understand why people stop riding. I almost did.

Part of the reason is I lost a parent to cancer in my mid-teens and since then I try to live every day to the fullest without doing stupid things.

    We're all on borrowed time.

Not to mention the riders in the videos are fucking morons for riding like that on public roads, take it to a track.

So on a side note I was all set for Moab this year. Just got my new tires last week with matching spare rim and tire plus mounted a bigger better tire on the spare rim under the bed. Bunch of new tools and recovery gear for the truck. Got my new to me mountain bike all set to bring with me. Got leave approved by my command. Luck would have it the in laws AND the grandparents are coming out here for a last minute 4 day trip. They get here the 28th and leave the 1st. The wife felt so bad, I have been talking about it for awhile. I have never been out there but always wanted to. Ohh well next year.

Still have it. If just sits under blankets. No one rides it any more (other than me) and I don't have room in my garage for it. If will be sold by next year I'm sure.

Nice! I keep hoping to run into other Taco owners on Carson...I see like 20 of them a day but none of them seem to be on here.

I go on Carson a lot for haircuts and use the commissary. I see a few modded Tacos here and there.

    Great motto to live by.

Only problem I have is you are probably a very safe and aware motorcyclist... however that doesn't change the fact the roads are filled with distracted idiots.

Exactly. I should have died numerous times so far (and I mean legitimately died as in medical experts were all astounded that I was alive and not these BS near death experiences wussies talk about) so I too have an appreciation for life and there's FAR better ways to make the best of life than subjecting yourself to a practice that has a higher likelihood of you losing it. Living a long and enjoyable life with loved ones and being the best human being you can in an attempt to better the lives of those close and not so close to you seems more fulfilling than riding a motorcycle in rush-hour traffic in Fort Collins CO. That's just me though.

I hear ya. I was planning for a year a USMC reunion at Vegas. I haven't seen these guys since 02. We went to Afghanistan together. But I had to take a rain check on it. Talk about crushing dreams.
