90 octane ethanol-free gasoline is available here for $4.56 a gallon. Some people use it for their lawn mowers and 2 cycle engines. Even at 6000 miles a year, it would be expensive to run in my Tacoma. This is about $0.60 a gallon more than my last tank of 89 octane with alcohol.

Here are some facts I have seen with ethanol.

1st ethanol reduces fuel economy by anywhere from 10 to 50%. Ask my boss his 04 f250 went from around 16mpg highway to 8mpg. Next ethanol does not reduce emissions. Actually it increases them. Burning alcohol puts out different emissions than burning gasoline. Simple law of physics, you burn more fuel you have more emissions.

Ethanol was put in gasoline by our government to make gasoline producers, ethanol producers and a select group of investers rich and make the American people poorer.

Mmm let's see you have a catalytic converter to reduce emissions, ethanol generates more exhaust albeit cleaner but the water that comes out rusts your converter from inside out, how is this a good thing?

Second turning food into fuel is never a good idea

More energy used to make ethanol than benefits from the reduced emission.

I'm a chemist and this is bad science all around.
Great if your a corn farmer though.

Burning pure gasoline produces water in your exhaust already.

    E-10 isn't better than E0 I agree.

Stoichiometric, for a complete combustion pure gas needs 14.7 grams of air per 1 gram of gas, ethanol needs about 8 grams of air per gram of fuel. This means it takes almost twice as much fuel for the same amount of air that gas would take. So 10% alcohol will result in about a 5% decrease in fuel economy (10% of fuel getting half the mileage)

I've been ethanol free for years, unless it's forced upon me. I can store gasoline over the winter without additives with no ill effects.
Contrary to what some may think ethanol increases big oil profits. It takes fuel to plant, fertilize, apply pesticides, harvest, transport, and refine it into ethanol. That coupled with the negative effects (fuel economy, repair costs) on the average vehicle. Leads to big profits for big oil. Who do you think is behind the push for ethanol use?

Big Agriculture is behind the push for ethanol use, and the politicians that they buy, which is most. Big Oil isn't behind it, they are currently fighting increased ethanol.

You seem to know what your talking about, so I'm not trying to be rude, but I know for a fact my engines do not run cooler with Ethanol. Mine work harder to burn something the engine was never designed to burn, syrupy gunk that leaves behind residue and eats at my carb jets. Given they are not turbo Supras, but if you look in your Tacoma manual it says we shouldn't be running more then 12% blend, so in our case ( At least first Gens ) its not to great.

Ethanol has clogged my dirt bike pilot jet too many times, after a ride I drain the tank and put a gallon on 110 race fuel in it and run it. No problem if it sits for any amount of time.

I found these on the net as possibilities. You would have to call to see if they are really selling ethanol free.

I will go a bit out of my way to by ethanol free gas, and thinking back, I have only had to use 10% ethanol gas 2 or 3 times in the last two years.

I use the website PUREGAS.ORG to locate stations. Thankfully I have plenty to choose from in the Northwest. I have my gas stops planned out wherever I go.

I think its bullshit how the Govt pushes that ethanol crap on people, knowing that it does NOT reduce emissions and in fact DECREASES MPG...and producing ethanol is not good for the environment.

Just did a rode trip from WY to the Oregon coast, found gas stations all along the way with non Ethanol.

I averaged 21+ MPG and from Bend to Ontario got 23.6 MPG. This includes a few hundred pounds of gear in the back, my girlfriend riding passenger and her 50LB dog, and its a V6 4x4:D

Your welcome. I hope one of these works for you. I would suggest if you do use one of them to post them on here http://pure-gas.org/ so others in your area can find it.
Until I started hauling in pure gas I ran ethanol in my boat. I even went to the cost of buying special hose for the gas line that they guarantee will stand up to ethanol. One year later the ethanol was weeping through leaving a tar like substance on the inside of the boat where the gas line ran. I now drive 75 miles and bring my gas back for all three vehicles, my boat, and all my small engines. Even though it is more costly upfront in the long run this is easier on my engines and I also gain 10 to 15% increase in MPG.

Ethanol causes corrosion. It's bad for any part related to an internal combustion engine. Most people don't know this. I know its hard a hard task, keep it out of your cars, motorcycles, watercraft and aircraft If you can.
