Get some extended rear brake lines and new UCA bolts, just my opinion, but cutting the old UCA bolts off and installing the new UCA bolts reverse ways is a whole lot easier, that's how I run mine.

Don't reverse the UCA bolt. It's a safety hazard, if the nut falls off you want the bolt to be held in by gravity. Saw this very thing happen a few weeks ago, luckily his were in the proper direction.

I hear ya man, I worry about the same thing, I've had them like that for over a year and they haven't come loose a bit. I think if you do it like I did, then you need to make sure they are tightened properly before doing any wheeling and check them at least once a month. I would much rather do that than what I would've had to go through to put them in the way they came out.

Honestly not that hard. Just need an 18" pry bar and an extra set of hands. Mine took less than 30minutes.

I wanted to do it that way, but I didn't have the time or help, so was cutting it easier for me ? Yes! Took 2 minutes per side and $12 for UCA bolts and honestly i can't see a problem with what I did as long as you check the UCA bolts once a month, not everyone may want to do that, but at least it gets me in there and looking around! I don't ever see a situation where my UCA bolt will slide out. I mean, during manufacturing the suspension goes on before the body so I am "sure" if they did it reverse so would be the UCA bolts!

Fair enough! Just wanted to throw that info out there for others to think about.

You may want to get some "torque paint" so you can just mark the nuts and then be able to visually see that they haven't backed off.

Oh absolutely, that's what these forums are for, good discussion! Trust me if I had the help I would have put them in the other way!

And yes, I marked the nuts to see if they would back off any cause I was nervous, and they haven't moved any. Didn't use torque paint but good idea!

Acted like I was interested in buying a Miata today and test drove one. Handled like a dream. Put the top down and hit a backroad for an hour and a half. It was amazing. Definitely want to buy one now.

Lol, good for you! Obviously not one you'd buy? Did you test a similar year?

You and your miata obsession. I don't understands it but whatever floats your boat. You hear anything from Toytec?

Brandon I'm sure there will be plenty of helping hands and tools at shoe creek. You want your decal on Friday? I can get it too you then if you want or can meet me at lowes.

Shane let me know if you can meet or something if you wanna get that decal on before shoe creek or something I'm out the Concorde way a good bit but I could meet you out that way if you want it or something just let me know.

Brandon, i used the stock bumps and drilled and tapped the AllProd flip kit plates. You can buy it from them pre tapped and drilled but it's like $15 extra and I knew I could do it myself

I have a block lift on the rear that's higher than the 2" AAL will be so I (hopefully) shouldn't need new brake lines...

And why would I need new UCA bolts? I've only watched vids on youtube and read writeups about the strut assembly replacement so I may have missed this...

You don't because you aren't getting new UCAs, if you need them (can't get proper alignment after lift) then having those bolts as back up wouldn't hurt. If you plan on doing wheeling where your rear is gonna be extended at times get the brake lines, those 5100s have more travel than stock so it's better to be safe than sorry!

I test drove one with the 1.8 liter and no LSD. Which is probably what I'll get.
I don't have the money now, but it was a good example to test drive.

Y'all are purely truck guys. If you don't see a miata as a good first track car on the cheap, you're silly.

No word from Toytec, I'll get an e-mail shot out to them soon.
