How much of the American trucks are actually made in America though?

 

The Tacoma has one of the highest made in USA percentages of any truck sold in America.

 

I think i read that the tundra uses more US made parts than any other full size truck.

Oh. Well then in that case the answer's simpler: There's probably not space in a conventional differential for both systems.
Plus, I imagine that the engineers would have a hell of a time working out how to make the clutches in the LSD stop fighting the locker's attempts to distribute torque.

 

That's exactly why it was so funny that they were giving me shit!

 

It's always funny when people give people shit about those sorts of things. They don't realize that in order to save on manufacturing costs many US companies like GM and Ford have out sourced much of the labor for their products. Then they price it for about a 50% margin… Plus they give you less equipment and and they just plain wear out after about 60,000 miles (yes this is an exaggeration).

 

No microwave yet in the project trailer. No problem though...

 

Typical ignorance. The F-150 and the Tundra are tied for the most American made truck. The Tacoma is not far behind either.

 

What, are you a Super for a GC or something? I'm a PM for a commercial drywall company so I know what the inside of those job trailers look like!

A guy I work with tried to give me crap until I told him my Tacoma was built in California, and his RAM was probably built in Mexico. He didn't have much to say after that.
