$3800 for OEM parts makes sense. The bumper cover is OEM but it's reconditioned. A lot of the brackets are OEM as well. The headlights, both grills, fog lamp bezels and lamps, bumper extensions are all aftermarket. As well as some other things.

That's the only was I could do it.

^ word of advise. The headlights should be OEM over aftermarket.

I'd like to have, but at $265.00 each, it's just out of reach. I found aftermarkets for $75.00 each.
I'd love to have gone with all OEM.
Plus with aftermarkets that cheap, I can replace them a few times for the same money as OEM. I could decide to go LED in a year or so, who knows.

Love the look:thumbsup:. I'll consider doing this way down the road but I'm getting a tube bumper soon. That'll make it a little bit easier. If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for the scoop insert? I'm planning on getting one and getting a ball park estimate:D.

I always like a enthusiast who thinks outside of the box and doesn't go with the norm. Money well spent IMO. Something for me to think about if I ever get a older model Tacoma and want to spruce it up. Thanks for the hard work and details

Maybe it has something to do with the inner liners. Everything lines up on the outside, but the liners are off. But I'm going to let it slide, especially sense the liners are really spendy.

Parts Train I don't see the hood I picked up. They seem to have fluctuating stock.

I picked up the paint supplies. $137.77.
The paint job is going to run me $600.00.

So the grand total will be $2429.62

Couple hun over what I had envisioned, but overall not too bad.

I'll post picks first of the week. He is going to shoot it this weekend.

If you're looking for a fender, I'd try to go with the correct year.

Well, this sucks. I told VAsponger he could have the bumper cover for $75 and he pays the shipping, which I "thought" was going to be about $95. I went to ship it and it turns out it's going to cost $238 to ship. He already sent me the money too. Now I feel like a a__ hole. I hope he understands. I told him he can have the money back or he could pay the diff between the money he sent and the shipping and I'll just give him the bumper if he pays the shipping. I just can't afford to eat that money right now. I should have checked better before I made the deal. CRAP!

Well, my paint guy has the truck. I'm pretty nervous. I'm 99% confident in his work. But you know how it goes. It's my baby. I can't wait to see it.

He sent me a picture earlier today. We're going up in a little bit to pick it up. He wants it back in a couple of days to buff it out. The clear coat manufacturer says not to buff right away, give it 48 hours. Can't wait to see it. Here's a teaser,,,,,,,
