I like collecting parts, installing them lowers the value.

Debating on moving to Sac for 6 months and commuting to work in the Bay Area.
    Terrible idea?

Apartment hunting is a nightmare in the Bay Area and i moved to Sac id be splitting an apt with my sister and her friend, so itd be like 400-500 a month for rent and whatever utilities, plus gas and insurance.
Itd end up coming out cheaper than paying 1500 a month for an apartment in the Bay ontop of utilities and all other bills.

Thought about Stockton but then i saw those murder rates and lolnope

yeah i know, my body hurts thinking about it.
ive been using Google and other apps to calculate the amount of time it would take to get to Sac from SF (where most of my work is) and itd take an hour 45 to 2 1/2 hours with mixed traffic. On severe rushhour days itd be more like 3 hours.
Itll only be for 6 months though so i might be okay with it, i need to start saving up money again cause getting laid off awhile back hurt the bank.

also i worked out in the Fresno area for 2 months last year, that the biggest nightmare ever.

From sf to sac I would think 3 hours would be the norm, it takes an hour just to get over the bridge most days.

Depends what time you leave...and where in SF....It takes about an hour or so from WC to Sac with light to no traffic(brother in law lives in Sac). But then again I book it a bit :D

Yes time is definitely important, during rush hour just getting on the bridge can take a half hour from SOMA. Whats WC? It takes me a little over an hour to get to sac driving 80 in no traffic.

Why not just rent a room or a bunk wherever you live? It sounds like you're just hunkering down to work right now. If it's in San Francisco, there're folks who are in tech and rent a bunk literally upstairs from their jobs for around 500-600 a month. Besides your clothes, you don't really need anything else to work, right?

There're also room rentals available all over the bay area. Living in Sac can be your weekend thing.

    .
Traffic sucks balls dude, especially Fridays, if you don't cross the benicia or vallejo bridges by like 230pm at the latest, you're screwed. One of my guys lives up there, he's told me all about it.

The driving/traffic is brutal, and as a warning, the last leg coming into Sac can put you to sleep after a long day because it is so straight and flat. Friday traffic going to Tahoe can make it even worse.

Where in the Bay do you work? Do you need your vehicle at work? What about Tracy area, and taking ACE?

I did the commute for a little over a yr and if you leave sac at 430 am and return at 230 its not to bad for the most part but almost once every week someone crashes and f@$&! Up everything.i had days that took 4 plus hrs coming home leaving at 230 from the east bay area
