    I googled Tacoma pocket flares and went to images and saw it there... looks like a solid rear axle and it sits pretty nice, wonder what size tire and wheels...

    a few posts down it talks about the Amarok coming over and it seems hope is dwindling.

    Im not holding my breath.

    I did take a 2014 Touareg for a spin the other day and got 29mpg on the testdrive but moreso, the crossover feels great! 240hp/410 trq it was a rocket! Ive built Honda's for a while and it is definately a fast SUV. If it had 1-2" more ground clearance and could fit 31's I would consider one, but the thought of taking a $55,000 truck offroad with very limited clearance scares me.

    Lets not forget the horrible reliability of VW as of late and the cost of parts. A friend of mine has one and its a 2006 thus far he has replaced engine mounts, transmission mounts, tail light housings, mirrors(you cant replace the signal, its the whole mirror), 1/3 of the ECM(yes 1/3 part is in engine bay, part in radio and part under the seat. cause fuck logic), CV axles, had rust issues, and the transmission is currently failing. Hes just trying to hold onto it until he can save up the last little bit to buy his Subaru BRZ.

    His problems plus the fact that everyone I know with VWs has similar problems turned me off of them completely.

    My parents had 2 Passats both early 2000"s and both had the same stupid small problems that cost a arm and leg to fix. Both were beautiful and comfortable rides though and a pleasure to drive. My sis had a new rabbit that didn't give her any problems before she wrecked it. I personally would not own a VW unless it was a W8 4motion or a phaeton :D.
