Hey Roland-yeah I always preferred the floor-hinged go-pedals from the old school, and I saved this 1 from my Pop's '67 Buick long ago so I installed it here if nothing else for sentimental reasons. When I was a kid I used to love watching Dad get a foot full of that 365 horse 430 V8 on an on-ramp with this very pedal...just a small token of great Dad memories right here in my favorite truck!:D Oh the brake pad is just 1 from the auto store to accomodate my big foot!

Yeah I know but they actually help a back problem and an old busted rib by being softer and more contouring...you'll understand when you're my age. Anyway thanks a lot for the few props I did get..they are appreciated because I'm proud of this truck and I'm proud to help represent the few of us who are 1st-gens here;)

That is a great looking truck. Did you paint your front bumper black or swap out a color keyed grill? I've never seen that combo up front before.

    1st generation rules!

Hey Toy-YAAAH 1st Gen rules! Gees we may as well start THAT alliance? Anyway, back in '01 the Limited came with the"black chrome" front bumper HA! When I installed my bullbar I discovered it's your basic plastic dress over a crashbar..painted black!

Although we are outnumbered by the 2nd gens, there are alot more 1st gens than you realize. The frame rust recall is putting a hurting on us though.

Well you're right Toy-I went fishing around and there's enough of us to make a wave, but most of them just hang and don't post. I know you're in there representing and that's important. Let's mull it over. Look- I know that this forum is 90% 2nd gen-hell, this is THEIR time to shine withthe freshness and newness of those great trucks...but WE need to be here to show the attributes the previous line of the greatest coolest trucks and to show them they can shine years from now if they decide theirs is a keeper too!;)

1st Gen Toy here!!! Saw the post and you guys are right, it seems like there are not enough of us on here. My truck is pretty basic right now even after owning it for a few years but I still love it and will never get rid of it.

Couldn't agree with you more. Toyota quality has kept me loyal for the last decade, but this is my 1st Tacoma, so it's fresh to me. There are also other forums that have more 1st gen tacos, but TW is by far the coolest. Here at TW, ALL Tacomas are fresh and they all rule!
    Welcome to TW.
