I have an '14 with "Entune Plus" (no navigation). Shortly after I let my XM/Sirius subscription expire I started noticing HD channels on my FM stations. Yesterday I re-activated XM/Sirius and now none of my HD stations work. The primary channels are back to analog and the secondary HD channels can't be tuned to at all. I rescanned the FM channel list and nothing is listed as HD anymore. My weather and traffic still work, so I know I'm getting an HD signal. I'm wondering if XM/Sirius has some deal with Toyota to disable HD radio channels for subscribers. If so I'm canceling. My favorite channel is a secondary FM channel.

Has anyone else observed this issue, and is there anything else I should try?

I have Sirius/XM and I am pretty sure my HD channels work, then again I really haven't paid close attention. I usually listen to XM or iPhone via bluetooth. I will check this out and let you know what I find.

I have the same setup with satellite radio and I get HD channels.

When you tune to the channel, try using the right/left buttons on your steering wheel control. That's how I switch between FM & HD for a given station.

For example, I tune to 94.1 and then hit the right hand button on the steering wheel control to get the 94.1 HD channel.

You may want to save them both as presets, I have both 94.1 and 94.1 HD in my presets.

During the "trial" period, I had satellite and HD channels (along with the usual AM/FM). Now that the trial is over and satellite is disabled, the HD channels still work. Don't think Toyota has any control over HD.

Thanks for the tips. I did try changing to the secondary HD channels with the direction control on the steering wheel, and by tapping on my previous presets and neither work. Also before subscribing if I was on a station where HD was available the HD icon would show it it would automatically switch to the digital signal. I didn't think to look through the settings. If anyone knows specifically which settings to navigate to let me know, but I'll look tonight and post if I find them.

I have a '14 with NAV and JBL, so it might be a bit different from yours. In any case, the "NAV Radio Operation.pdf" I got from Toyota's site (which is the same as in your owners' manual), gives the following:

    1. Select "AM" or "FM from the "Audio Source" screen. (I chose "FM".)
    2. Select "Options".
    3. The "Options" screen shows threee buttons, "Scan", "HD Radio", and "FM Info"
    4. Select "HD Radio" to turn on HD Radio mode. (When the HD Radio indicator is off, the station list only shows analog channels.

See if yours looks anything like this.

Thanks! FM->Options->HD Radio did the trick. Not sure why anyone would ever want that off. I now know what happened too. Not only did I re-activate XM yesterday, but I also let my 3 year old son sit in my lap and pretend to drive while we were parked in the driveway last night. I remember more just trying to stop him from breaking stuff than what he actually managed to get his hands on, but that explains why my wipers, brights and 4WD was on this morning too. Doing anything with a 3 year old boy is like making a smoothy in a blender with no top.

    Question for you:
I use the left/right button on my steering wheel control to scroll through the XM stations. I start at 2 and go through to 17. When I get to 17 and tap right one more time it goes back to 2. So I have to reach over to the radio and manually turn the scroll button to 19. I keep tapping right until I get to 44 and then it goes back to 19. I noticed that these groups (2-17 and 19-44) are groups of genres. Can you (or anyone else) tap right and go from 17 to 19 or do you have to reach over and switch to 19 manually? This kind of defeats the purpose of the steering wheel control and is very annoying when I want to just flip channels. I don't have the JBL w/nav just the regular entune plus.
