I recently began feeling a Vibration in my Toyota Tacoma between 30-40 mph, and noticed the lengthy threads on what the cause of it could be.

I must say from exterior looks, the Tacoma is a wicked looking truck. But I never had an issue with my Dodge 1500 4x4 ever.

So why the loyalty to this truck. Toyota is supposed to be dependable, and the resale value of Tacoma's is pretty high.

I think I am going to invest my 5000 thousand into the savings, and sell my truck. I'll Go back to the Dodge, and forgo the lengthy process of investigating Vibrations as so many other members on here have done.

If you have a true diagnosis that works, I might reconsider, but one shouldn't have to spend copious amounts of time, and money trying to fix an issue. Perhaps all of you should reconsider loyalty to a different auto maker, it might just force Toyota to address this issue. If a company is unwilling to address this vibration it might be because consumer loyalty prevents them from doing so.

Could be an alignment issue or a number of other things that aren't the truck's fault, but a bad owner. I'm not going to defend Toyota's name because I think the fact that if you google 'most dependable car brands', Toyota is ALWAYS in the top the and is usually #1.

EDIT: you might also get better responses if your post was more geared to trying to figure out what's wrong with your truck, rather than simply complaining about it...People on a website solely dedicated to Toyota's aren't going to leave positive responses to a thread that has no value, whatsoever

haha exactly. Who knows if the previous owner had the tires b&r'd every 6000 miles, if the alignment is to spec, what condition the tires are in, if they had the trans flushed every 40,000 miles, etc. Don't assume that the truck sucks because the issue could very-well be a lack of TLC

Totaled but still alive! Frame 2.0, Fog lights anytime, Seatbelt reminder delete, Secondary air filter delete, LED bed lights, Running boards, 2017 Rims, Ultra gauge, Cup holder/consol/glove compartment lights, Interior LED conversion, Blue Sea aux. fuse panel, fuse panel mounting plate by Yotamac, ProEFX heated towing mirrors, LED engine bay lights, Redline Quicklift Elite hood struts, Wet Okole Heated Seat Covers,m, Rear bumper 2.0, Decal free visors, Washable cabin air filter, Overhead consol auto dimming override switch, BulletProof Fabricating Skid plate, 2lo module.
Good luck with that. Your research on Dodge will show that there are 3 Chryslers in the 10 most UNreliable vehicles, and the Ram is one of them. There are no Toyotas, Lexus, or Scions on that list! Done researching yet?

Oh, by the way 92,000+ miles no problems! Had vibes once when the tire shop didn't balance the tires correctly:eek:

    Tires are probably not balanced.

On a side note- why not diagnose the problem before rushing to sell. The truck has 100k on it, almost every major service interval has happened or will happen by this point. If the PO used bad parts, you cannot blame Toyota.
