Numerous truck have done it since new. And no, simple things like tires, alignment and maintenance are not the issue...

100k miles any car or truck and you've used up a lot of that vehicle already. There will be maintenance issues at that mileage. Let's be real here. My dodge dakota began falling apart at 100k.

I recently began feeling a Vibration in my Toyota Tacoma between 30-40 mph, and noticed the lengthy threads on what the cause of it could be.

I must say from exterior looks, the Tacoma is a wicked looking truck. But I never had an issue with my Dodge 1500 4x4 ever.

So why the loyalty to this truck. Toyota is supposed to be dependable, and the resale value of Tacoma's is pretty high.

I think I am going to invest my 5000 thousand into the savings, and sell my truck. I'll Go back to the Dodge, and forgo the lengthy process of investigating Vibrations as so many other members on here have done.

If you have a true diagnosis that works, I might reconsider, but one shouldn't have to spend copious amounts of time, and money trying to fix an issue. Perhaps all of you should reconsider loyalty to a different auto maker, it might just force Toyota to address this issue. If a company is unwilling to address this vibration it might be because consumer loyalty prevents them from doing so.

Really? PLEASE tell me you are making this post out of sarcasm. You think that buying a 100k mile truck means that it will have no issues or problems whatsoever? Wow. I could go to the Dodge thread and find TEN times the issues and complaints from them about their trucks. So you had ONE Dodge, and didn't have ANY trouble with it? I actually find that difficult to believe, but ok, let's give you the benefit of the doubt. I can also introduce you to some Tacoma owners that have never had any issues with THEIR truck. I can also introduce you to Dodge, Ford, and GM truck owners who will say the same thing. If you are dealing with a vibration and haven't at LEAST taken the truck in to get the tires balanced, then PLEASE do us a favor and go ahead and sell the truck and go back to Dodge. I mean really, the FIRST thing that any shop will do when there is a vibration complaint is to test drive, and then check the balance on the tires.

Complaining about a 7 year old second hand truck with 100k+ miles on the clock having a vibration without even troubleshooting or having any intend to do so, blaming it on Toyota and then buying a Dodge as a solution to all of this...
